ArmInfo.Armenia is effectively not participating in any activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), according to CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov.

ArmInfo. At NATO exercises in Armenia, Armenian military personnel will be trained to fight against Russia. This was stated on June 18 during a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that if the CSTO decides to expel the country from the organization, Yerevan will take it into account. He made this statement during a briefing with journalists on June 11.

ArmInfo.  The issue of Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is already a pressing issue, as stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference on June 10, following the CSTO Foreign Ministers' Council meeting in Kazan.

ArmInfo. The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will consider applying the relevant article of the association's charter to Armenia due to the  country's failure to pay membership fees for two years, as stated by  Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press conference  following the CSTO Foreign Ministers' Council meeting in Kazan.

ArmInfo.  The growing influence of the EU, US, and Turkey on the Caucasus countries will create an even greater source of tension in the region, as stated by Valery Semerikov, Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security  Treaty Organization (CSTO, ) at the 19th meeting of the heads of the  leading units of the CIS anti-terrorism structures and the heads of  the national structures of the Commonwealth countries coordinating  the fight against terrorism and extremism.

ArmInfo. If the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) isn't working, then Armenia shouldn't freeze its participation, but rather leave.

ArmInfo. Armenia's membership in the CSTO has allowed the country to procure weapons at below-market rates, as stated by Robert Kocharyan, the second president of Armenia and the prime ministerial candidate from the  Armenia bloc, in an interview with Armenia TV.

ArmInfo. Russia does not intend to foot the bill for Armenia's integration into the European Union, as stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova during a weekly briefing on May 4, held on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

ArmInfo.  The regulatory frameworks established within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) cannot be extended to members of the European Union, as stated by  Taalatbek Masadykov, Secretary General of the Collective Security  Treaty Organization (CSTO).

ArmInfo. The November 9, 2020, ceasefire agreement did not grant the Russian peacekeepers any mandate, and the Armenian Prime Minister's actions on the Artsakh  issue have relegated these peacekeepers to the status of outside  observers. This was stated by Robert Kocharyan, the second president  of Armenia and leader of the "Armenia" bloc, on the Public Television  of Armenia.

ArmInfo.Following a meeting on May 27, chaired by the head of the Union of Armenians of Russia (UAR), Ara Abrahamyan, the leaders of Armenian organizations in Russia unanimously adopted a resolution.

ArmInfo.Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu stated that Moscow regrets Yerevan's  position on security issues within the CSTO. He made this statement at a meeting of the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

ArmInfo.If  the Strong Armenia party  comes to power, it's primary goal will be to understand the underlying reasons behind the behavior of the CSTO and Russia.  Samvel Karapetyan, the Strong Armenia party's prime  ministerial candidate, made this statements during a discussion with editors of several media outlets on May 22.

ArmInfo.  Over the past eight years, the Armenian authorities have taken no effective steps against Russia's vital interests in the region and in Armenia, according to Americanist Suren Sargsyan.

ArmInfo. The European Union is seeking to separate Armenia from Russia by strengthening its own control over the country. Mikhail Kalugin, Director of the Fourth  Department of the CIS Countries at the Russian Foreign Ministry,  stated this in an interview with TASS.

ArmInfo. The remarks made by Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simoyan against Belarus are simply pre-election populism and a desperate attempt to distract his own electorate from grave domestic issues, according to a statement by Belarusian Foreign Ministry Press Secretary Ruslan Varankov in response to a question from the First Information Channel about the  remarks by the Armenian National Assembly Speaker.

ArmInfo. European leaders continue to arrive in Armenia for the eighth European Political Community (EPC) summit, which begins on Monday, April 4. This is the largest gathering of European leaders ever in the South Caucasus.

ArmInfo.  One of the most important points of the pro- Western Republic party's election program is the withdrawal from  the Joint Regional Air Defense System in the Caucasus region, which includes Armenia and Russia. Party leader Aram Sargsyan  made this announcement at a press conference on April 27, presenting the main points of the party's election program.

ArmInfo.  Armenia will choose a Western development path if Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wins the parliamentary elections, stated Viktor Vodolatsky, First Deputy  Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian  Integration, and Relations with Compatriots, in an interview with  Lenta.ru.
