ArmInfo.  Congressional Armenian Caucus Co- Chair Rep. Frank Pallone Jr. (D-NJ) has introduced an amendment to H.R. 8800 - the National Defense Authorization Act for  FY27 - that would block the President from exercising Section 907  waiver authority until Azerbaijan takes demonstrable and verifiable  steps toward meeting concrete accountability conditions.  

ArmInfo.  The first Regional Environmental Summit (RES), the largest environmental event in Central Asia, has opened in Astana. The Kazakh capital has brought  together representatives of regional states, international  organizations, financial institutions, and the expert community.

ArmInfo.Threats in Eurasia are growing significantly, requiring additional efforts to neutralize them, as stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the  Collective Security Treaty Organization in Moscow.

ArmInfo.  Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi thanked several countries, including Armenia, for their assistance in repatriating Iranians.

ArmInfo.  In the UN World Happiness Report,  Armenia is ranked 89th out of the 147 countries, down from 87th the previous year. The report measures  the happiness of the residents of these countries.  Our country is ranked between Tajikistan and Hong Kong.

ArmInfo.  Due to the situation in the Middle East, many countries will begin to reassess their relations with the United States post-factum, including seeking the withdrawal of American bases from their territory. This was stated by  political scientist, American studies expert, and publicist Malek  Dudakov on March 18 during a Moscow-Yerevan video conference on the  topic "The Middle East Crisis and Regional-American Relations."

ArmInfo.  Azerbaijan has revealed which representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations, under various pretexts, refused to participate in the military parade commemorating the so-called  victory over Artsakh.

ArmInfo.  A window of opportunity for has opened for lasting pleae and tranquility in the South Caucasus.  Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made these remarks to reporters on a plane returning from Azerbaijan, where he participated in a parade marking the 5th anniversary of the  aggression against Artsakh.

ArmInfo.  The duration of military service should be determined by assessing the risks of potential enemy aggression and the need to defend the state now and in the near future. Military expert Hayk Nahapetyan expressed this  opinion in an interview with an ArmInfo correspondent, commenting on  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's announcement to reduce the duration  of mandatory military service in Armenia from 24 to 18 months  starting next year.
