ArmInfo.  On June 19, 2025, AraratBank held its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, which took place at Hartak Conference Hall of the DVIN hotel complex.

ArmInfo. At the annual general meeting, Acba Bank shareholders decided to allocate 6.584 billion drams or 1100 drams per share from the net profit of 28.8 billion  drams received in 2024 to pay dividends. This was noted in the  statement of Acba Bank published on June 18.  According to the  decision on the payment of dividends, the payments should be  completed on June 20, 2025.

ArmInfo. The Hospitality Investment Forum 2025 (HIF), the leading professional platform in Armenia for discussing the development of the hospitality industry, will take place in Yerevan on June 18. 

ArmInfo.In 2025, water intake from Lake Sevan will be allowed in the amount of up to 131.8 million cubic  meters. The resolution on this was adopted on June 5 at a government meeting.

ArmInfo.  The prosecutor sent a criminal case related to the 44-day war against the commanders of the military unit and battalions to court with an approved indictment, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported.

ArmInfo.  As a result of active investigative actions, many persons who took part in the riots of November 9, 2020 have been identified. This was stated on May 12 from the rostrum of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of  Armenia Artur Poghosyan, speaking about the progress of the  investigation of the criminal case on the attempt on the life of the  then Chairman of the National Assembly, and now the Minister of  Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan.

ArmInfo.  Former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Lieutenant General Mikael Arzumanyan, who joined the Artsakh Liberation War at the age of 16, has been serving a prison sentence for almost three years - this sentence is nothing more than political persecution, opposition MP Gegham Manukyan wrote on his Facebook account. 

ArmInfo.  Armenia ranks very high in the World Press  Freedom Index. Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of the RA Prime Minister's  Staff,  posted this on his Facebook page noting that  the republic has ranked 34th in the index compiled by Reporters Without Borders. 

ArmInfo.  During its term in office, compared to the previous 6-year period, the government of Nikol Pashinyan has increased financial assistance to its colleagues from Artsakh by 2.3 times. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan from the rostrum of the parliament on April  15.

ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan  chaired a meeting to discuss the implementation of the  Action Plan of the state program for the development of education in  the Republic of Armenia until 2030.

ArmInfo.Armenia has defined the countries in the region based on gender equality gap indicator.  This was announced by the UN Permanent Representative to Armenia Francoise Jacob during the UN Women event focused on enhancing the economic potential of women.

ArmInfo.A unified standard will be applied in the preschool education system in Armenia. The  National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, at its plenary session on March 5, introduced amendments to the law "On Preschool Education" in the second and final reading.

ArmInfo. Four representatives of the Armenian men's chess team are among the top 100 chess players in the world. This is evidenced by the updated rating of the  International Chess Federation (FIDE), published on March 1.

ArmInfo. The RA government, despite assurances of fighting the oligarchy, wants to provide tax benefits to one of the major businessmen. At a meeting on January 30, the Cabinet of Ministers of the country adopted a resolution on exempting the Multi Transport company, part of the Multi Group group  of companies controlled by oligarch Gagik Tsarukyan, from import  customs duties on technological equipment and its components.

ArmInfo.On January 27, the PACE winter session in Strasbourg held debates on the situation in  PACE member states in 2024. As a result, Resolution No. 2580 was adopted, which states that PACE highly appreciates the work of the Monitoring Committee, which monitors the situation in 14 countries.  As Turan reports, the document expresses concern about the backslidings on democracy and human rights violations in several countries, including Azerbaijan and Georgia.

ArmInfo. The situation with public transport in Yerevan still leaves much to be desired. In addition to the upcoming increase in public transport fares (almost 3 times in the case of buses, if citizens are not included in one of  the preferential groups), certain routes serve citizens at intervals  that can last up to 40 minutes or more. The reason for such a  collapse is the shortage of category D drivers.
