ArmInfo.As previously reported, the beneficiary of The Power of One Dram program in April—for the third time —was the “4090” Charitable Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to addressing the social and educational needs of veterans who participated in the wars since the April War. This time, a total of 4,919,726 AMD was raised through the program, a portion of which was allocated to provide health insurance support to 60 beneficiaries of the foundation.

ArmInfo.The presentation of the book “Yerevan of the 90s” was intentionally held on June 1—International Children’s Day. The latest work by Hayk Ajapahyan, author of the Magic Library series, is the fourth book in the collection and offers today’s children a vivid glimpse into a bygone era. The presentation created a special opportunity for children to connect with their parents’ childhood memories.

ArmInfo.As we previously mentioned, in March of this year, the beneficiary of the “The Power of One Dram” initiative was once again the “Heroes Rehabilitation City” Mental Health Center, with a total amount raised of 5,237,825 AMD.

ArmInfo.  The traditional and beloved by many festival of the author's song <Sail of Hope> will be held for the 11th time on the shores of Sevan.

ArmInfo. European Archaeology Days will be held in Armenia from June 13 to 15.  As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MECS) of Armenia, the program of events includes visits to excavations and research centers, exhibitions that are usually inaccessible to the general public, as well as meetings with  archaeologists and restorers.  

ArmInfo.While a children's festival organized by the Ministry of Science and Education of  Azerbaijan on the occasion of International Children's Day is taking place in Shushi, thousands of Artsakh children, forcibly displaced from this city and other regions of Artsakh, are left without the right to a safe childhood, education and the opportunity to grow up in their homeland.

ArmInfo. On May 29, between 1:00 a.m. and 1:15 a.m., units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire  in the direction of the Khoznavar settlement in the Syunik Province, causing damage to a residential house. 

ArmInfo. Russia will soon send a new batch of humanitarian aid for refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh. This was announced on May 27 during a weekly briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

ArmInfo.  National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan touched upon the reasons for postponing the discussion of the legislative initiative on legal "buy-off" from the army. As Simonyan stated in a conversation with journalists on May 27, the ultimate goal of the authorities is to create a professional army.

ArmInfo.  Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, where he honored the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 in Ottoman Turkey.

ArmInfo. The imposed peace cannot be just, nor stable and lasting.  This statement was made by Mario Nalbandian, ARF representative in the Socialist International (SI) and SI Vice President. He was participating in the SI Presidency, Financial and Organizational Commissions, as well as the Council meetings in Istanbul on May 23-25, 2025. 

ArmInfo.Armenian Ombudsman Anahit Manasyan considers the legislative amendments on buying out military  service, proposed by Hayk Sargsyan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, and approved by the Armenian government on May 22, unacceptable.

ArmInfo. The discussion of the issue of buying out service in the Armenian Armed Forces has been  postponed indefinitely. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Committee Armen Khachatryan on Defense and Security Issues on May 26 at a meeting of the RA National Assembly Committee on Defense and  Security, speaking about the draft amendments to the law "On Military Service and the Status of a Serviceman".

ArmInfo.  Residents of Artsakh have started to apply for Armenian citizenship more frequently. Deputy Interior Minister of Armenia Armen Ghazaryan made this statement  during a press conference  on May 23.

ArmInfo. The program "Mapping, informing and developing the potential of micro and small businesses (MSB) of forcibly displaced Artsakh residents" has been launched in  Armenia. This was reported by the Public Organization "Union for the  Protection of the Interests and Rights of the People of Artsakh  (Artsakh Union).

ArmInfo.  The Commission for the Prevention of Corruption has opened a case against Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for an obvious violation of the code of  conduct by an official. Non-partisan MP Taguhi Tovmasyan wrote about  this on her Facebook page, referring to the Commission's response to  her request to open a case against Pashinyan in connection with the  threats and statements he made to the opposition from the parliament  rostrum.

ArmInfo.  On May 22, at its regular session, the Armenian government discussed the initiative of the ruling NA faction deputy Hayk Sargsyan on the buyout  of the army, and proposed its own adjustments. 

ArmInfo.  On May 22, at its regular meeting, the Armenian government made a decision to privatize the state shares of the Republican Center for Speleotherapy (Health Salt  Caves) CJSC of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia  through a tender.

ArmInfo.  Following the 44-day war in the fall of 2020, amid the global coronavirus pandemic and the violent displacement of more than 115,000 citizens of Nagorno-  Karabakh in September 2023, the Armenian healthcare system has faced  significant challenges in coping with the scale of the crisis. This  was stated by Deputy Minister of Health of Armenia Lena Nanushyan,  speaking at the 78th session of the World Health Assembly of WHO  (World Health Organization).
