ArmInfo. Relatives of  servicemen killed during the defense of Artsakh in September 2023 have addressed an open letter to  former commander of the NKR Defense Army Kamo Vardanyan, demanding a response to the statements made by the MP from the ruling Civil Contract faction, Khachatur Sukiasyan. Artsakh Ombudsman and human rights activist Gegham Stepanyan stated this in an interview with Armenian media, referring to the government's decision, according to which the Artsakh residents either "re-accept" citizenship or receive temporary protection status.

In  this way, the Azerbaijani authorities want to portray the  Nagorno-Karabakh Republic as a criminal organization. International  law specialist Taron Simonyan  stated this at a press conference  titled "They are sued because they are Armenians " held in Yerevan on  April 10.
