ArmInfo.  The number of crimes involving the use of firearms in the Ararat region decreased by 60% in the first half of 2026. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia reported this to ArmInfo. 

ArmInfo. Thirty military deaths were recorded in the Armenian Armed Forces during the first seven months of 2026, according to research by the Vanadzor office of the Helsinki Citizens' Assembly (HCA).

This was stated by lawyer and representative of the  "Strong Armenia" bloc, Aram Vardevanyan, in a conversation with  journalists in Yerevan on July 22 in front of the Central Electoral  Commission (CEC).

ArmInfo.  The European Union (EU) will approve the creation of a mission for Armenia to combat so-called hybrid threats. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas announced this upon her arrival at a meeting of EU foreign ministers.

ArmInfo.Starting today, the "parental hour" law has officially taken effect in Armenia. Under this new legislation, working parents—including adoptive parents, foster parents, and legal guardians—are now entitled to temporary absence from their workplace during the business day to attend to  their child's needs, including upbringing, participation in educational processes, and resolving other critical matters related  to the child's well-being.

ArmInfo.  Another earthquake was recorded in Armenia.  According to the RA  Seismological Service, a magnitude 2.3 earthquake occurred on July 9  at 11:42 local time, 18 km southwest of the town of Aparan.

ArmInfo.  The Prosecutor's Office is demanding the return of residential buildings and structures illegally owned by Multi Group LLC in the coastal area of Lake Sevan  to the Republic of Armenia. This was stated in a statement by the  supervisory body.
