ArmInfo. Armenia was ranked  87th out of 147 countries of the world included in the UN's World  Happiness Report rating, dropping from the 82nd the previous year.  The country falls  between North Macedonia and Hong Kong in the  ranking.

ArmInfo.  The Armenian  authorities want to increase the number of penalty points for  violating traffic rules from the current 9 to 13. At a meeting on  March 20, the RA National Assembly Committee on Defense and Security  gave a positive opinion on the draft amendments to the Code of  Administrative Offenses submitted by a group of NA deputies in the  second and final reading.

ArmInfo. The Akanates observation mission has called for the results of the draw of lots for campaign billboards in the early elections to the Gyumri Council of Elders to  be annulled or for their proportional distribution to be ensured.

ArmInfo. Armenian Justice Minister Srbuhi Galyan will attend the international conference titled "Partnership in the Fight against Corruption" to be held in Washington.  The decree to send the minister to the United States was signed by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.  As noted in the press release of the government, Galyan will be  on a business trip from April 7 to 11, 2025.  All expenses related to the trip will be covered by the inviting party.

ArmInfo. A meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council was held in the Mother See of Holy  Etchmiadzin under the chairmanship of the Supreme Patriarch,  Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.

ArmInfo. Under the influence of certain forces, a Turkish citizen, previously detained in Yerevan, was released and there were signs of a cover-up of the crime. Human  rights activist Ruben Melikyan wrote about this on his Facebook  account. 

ArmInfo. Azerbaijan's narrative  about 'western Azerbaijan', 'trials' of Armenian prisoners in Baku   are an obstacle to  peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and a  smokescreen, Armenia's Premier Nikol Pashinyan stated in an interview  with Turkish media outlets.

ArmInfo. On March 11, the annual dinner of the Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF) took place at the Hotel du Collectionneur in Paris. The vent was attended by members of the French government, leaders of political parties, parliamentarians, diplomats, journalists, actors, and artists.

ArmInfo. The majority of  respondents in Armenia oppose constitutional changes and are in favor  of early parliamentary elections in the country, as evidenced by the  results of the survey conducted by the consulting company MPG:  "But  you, my friends, whatever seats you take ".

ArmInfo. Armenian respondents prefer closer ties with Russia over European integration, as evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by the consulting company MPG: " But you, my friends, whatever seats you take ".  When asked which geopolitical center they associate with the socio-economic development of Armenia, 27.8% of respondents named Russia, 25.8% - the European Union, 15.5% - the USA, 13.3% - Iran, 11% - no one, and another 3.4% named the EAEU. 13.55 - found it difficult to answer, while 4.1% gave a different answer.

ArmInfo. The Rescue Service of  the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia reported the discovery of  a Spanish climber who went missing after an avalanche on Mount  Aragats on March 11.

ArmInfo. On March 11, a meeting of the board of the Civil Contract party was held, chaired by the chairman of the board, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. As  reported by the party's press service, issues related to the local  government elections in Gyumri and Parakar, as well as party-related  issues were discussed at the meeting.

ArmInfo. Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albarez thanked the Armenian side for rescuing Spanish climbers from an avalanche on Mount Aragats.

ArmInfo.On March 11, an avalanche occurred on the northern peak of Mount Aragats, trapping a  group of 9 people  under the snow. According to  the Crisis Management Center of the Aragatsotn Regional Rescue Department, eight people were able escape from  the avalanche, but one person is still  missing. An operational group, a combat unit and a team from the Center for Special Purpose Rescue Operations were dispatched to the scene.

ArmInfo.The echo of <Eurasia-Film Festival> will also be heard in Armenia.  Following festivals in Kyrgyzstan and Abkhazia, the  organizers, the autonomous non-profit organization (ANO) <Eurasia>, have decided to hold the  <Echo Eurasia-Film Festival> film forum in Yerevan as well

ArmInfo. In light of the current turbulent geopolitical situation in the world, the Armenian authorities are left without support. Out of desperation, they are trying to "flirt" with Russia again. Political strategist Karen Kocharyan stated this at a press conference in Yerevan on March 11, touching upon the security challenges facing the country. 

ArmInfo.Chess tournaments for amateurs and professionals, are being organized in Armenia, following  the Swiss format with 11 rounds according to FIDE rules. The tournaments have already begun in 7 regions and 10 cities across the country.

"We cannot treat the candidacy of the Chairman of the Anti- Corruption Committee in the  same way as other officials," said Daniel Ioannisyan, coordinator of the public organization "Union of Informed Citizens", a member of the competition committee for the selection of candidates for the  Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee, at a press conference on March 11, declaring his disagreements with other members of the committee on the issue of selecting candidates.
