ArmInfo.As previously reported, the beneficiary of The Power of One Dram program in April—for the third time —was the “4090” Charitable Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to addressing the social and educational needs of veterans who participated in the wars since the April War. This time, a total of 4,919,726 AMD was raised through the program, a portion of which was allocated to provide health insurance support to 60 beneficiaries of the foundation.

ArmInfo.As we previously mentioned, in March of this year, the beneficiary of the “The Power of One Dram” initiative was once again the “Heroes Rehabilitation City” Mental Health Center, with a total amount raised of 5,237,825 AMD.

ArmInfo. On May 28th, AraratBank proudly supported the "What? Where? When?" intellectual charity quiz organized by the 4090 Charity Foundation at Elite Plaza business center. AraratBank's team of intellectuals took part in the quiz alongside other participants.

ArmInfo. Through support provided within the framework of AraratBank's social responsibility programs, a state-of-the-art astronomical laboratory for children aged 7-18 has been established at Wonder Kid Academy operating in Gyumri.

ArmInfo. Law enforcement officers do not respond properly to the problem of drug distribution among minors in Armenia. This is indicated by lawyer Gohar Meloyan, who published a photo of an article about drug distribution among minors in the village of Mkhchyan in the Ararat region. In particular, students  were tied up in a school toilet and stuffed with drugs.

ArmInfo.  The statement disseminated by the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan, alleging that on May 13, between 08:45 and 09:30 p.m., the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia opened fire on Azerbaijani combat positions  located in the eastern and southeastern sections of the border, does  not correspond to reality, the RA Ministry of Defense reports.   

ArmInfo. The Martuni stadium in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia has been returned to the community, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reports.

ArmInfo.  As a result of active investigative actions, many persons who took part in the riots of November 9, 2020 have been identified. This was stated on May 12 from the rostrum of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of  Armenia Artur Poghosyan, speaking about the progress of the  investigation of the criminal case on the attempt on the life of the  then Chairman of the National Assembly, and now the Minister of  Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan.

ArmInfo.  The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied yet another enemy disinformation about the ceasefire violation.

ArmInfo.  In 2024, the courts of Armenia satisfied only 11.3% of the cassation appeals of the Prosecutor General and his deputies. This was stated by the  Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan at the  plenary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia  on May 8, presenting a report on the activities of the supervisory  body last year.

ArmInfo.  Criminal liability measures for drug trafficking will be seriously tightened in Armenia. The amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia submitted by the NA deputy from the ruling Civil Contract faction  Hayk Sargsyan are being discussed at the meeting of the RA National  Assembly Committee on State and Legal Affairs on May 5.

ArmInfo. The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) has launched a nationwide grassroots campaign calling on President Donald Trump to overrule the U.S.  Export-Import (EXIM) Bank's reckless decision to approve a $339 million loan guarantee for Boeing's sale of cargo aircraft to  Azerbaijan's Silk Way West Airlines-a company directly tied to a  genocidal regime with a well-documented record of arms trafficking  and aggression against the Armenian people.

ArmInfo.  The Anti-Corruption Court has agreed to review  the Prosecutor General's Office's claim on confiscation of property of illegal origin from the former commercial  director of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant CJSC, Rubik Movsesyan,  and his associates in favor of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. Foreign producers who decide to shoot a film in Armenia will be able to get back up to 25% of the production costs incurred. And if the film promotes a positive image of the Republic of Armenia - even 35%. The initiative of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MECS) was approved at the Cabinet meeting on April 10.

ArmInfo. Among 147 countries, Armenia took 8th place in the list of the safest countries in the world. This was reported by the Tourism Committee, citing the global  Numbeo 2025 database.

ArmInfo. The results of the Human Rights Defender's monitoring indicate that there are a number of problems in the Republic of Armenia in the field of personal data  protection, for the solution of which there are no effective  mechanisms. This is stated in the press release of the press service  of the Ombudsman of Armenia.

ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office intends to confiscate property worth more than 2 billion drams, including in the Czech Republic, as well as cash in the amount  of 2.4 billion drams, from the former mayor of Yerevan, former  Minister of State Revenues of Armenia Yervand Zakharyan and members  of his family.
