ArmInfo.Armenian authorities have banned citizens arriving from abroad, particularly from Russia, from leaving the country, issuing summonses to participate in 25-day military training. This is the message from Gegham Manukyan, a member of the Armenian parliament from the opposition "Armenia" faction.

ArmInfo.  Within the framework of an ongoing investigation targeting six parliamentary candidates from the "Strong Armenia" party, a public criminal  prosecution has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 46-236 and  Point 3 of Part 3 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of the Republic  of Armenia (accompliceship in voter bribery and money laundering on  an especially large scale).

ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has initiated a criminal case against the late former director of the National Security Service (NSS) of the  Republic, Gorik Hakobyan, and four other agency employees regarding  the events of March 1, 2008.

ArmInfo. To ensure the legality and transparency of the electoral process, as well as to  maintain public order during the parliamentary elections in Armenia  on June 7, units of the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA)  will be on duty around the clock.  The Ministry's press service  informed ArmInfo that the 87-67 and 84-22 hotlines will be active  during this period. 

ArmInfo.Armenia is essentially repeating the path Ukraine took in 2013-2014, and it is necessary to "think hard" to prevent Yerevan from ultimately following the same path and ending up in a similar situation. ArmInfo.   Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was found guilty and convicted across three Armenian court instances for the events of March 1, 2008, before being acquitted under strange circumstances by a ruling from the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).  Robert Kocharyan, the second president of Armenia and the prime ministerial candidate from the  Armenia bloc, made this statement during interview with Armenia TV  channel.

ArmInfo.The Prosecutor General's Office announced on August 14, 2025, that Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan overturned the January 30, 2020, decision to terminate the criminal prosecution against former Deputy Chief of Police Sasha Afyan. A public criminal  case was opened against Sasha Afyan, and the criminal trial materials, supported by the indictment, were submitted to court on  January 9, 2026, where the main hearings are currently underway.

ArmInfo.On June 1, 2026, as part of the criminal proceedings initiated in connection with the events that took place in Yerevan on March 1-2, 2008, the Prosecutor General opened a public criminal case against the commanders of the 4th Army Corps of the RA Armed Forces for the period from February 23 to March 1, 2008.

ArmInfo. The question of Armenia's intentions regarding the EU and the EAEU is a matter of principle, CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev told Vesti News  Agency.  "My opinion is that this issue will be discussed amicably. 

ArmInfo. The member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will discuss Armenia's desire to join the European Union and its possible exit from the EAEU at a meeting on May 29. Yuri Ushakov, Aide to the President, informed journalists about this during a briefing. He shared details of Vladimir Putin's upcoming state visit to Kazakhstan on May 27-29 and his participation in the summit of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. This was reported by the Vedomosti newspaper.
