ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has opened a criminal case in connection with the shooting in Vanadzor by a contract serviceman of the RA Ministry of Defense. This was reported by Investigative Committee spokesperson Kima Avdalyan.

ArmInfo.Two candidates running for parliament under the "Strong Armenia" bloc have been detained, and a search has been declared for four others, according  to a statement from the press service of the Investigative Committee  (IC) of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  The Armenian authorities have detained Sasun Badoyan, the father of a fallen serviceman and a parliamentary candidate from the "Strong Armenia" bloc, on fabricated and unlawful charges, as reported by lawyer  Tatevik Soghoyan on her Facebook page.

ArmInfo.Armenian authorities have banned citizens arriving from abroad, particularly from Russia, from leaving the country, issuing summonses to participate in 25-day military training. This is the message from Gegham Manukyan, a member of the Armenian parliament from the opposition "Armenia" faction.

ArmInfo.The leadership of the Armenian Armed Forces is actively working to combat the infiltration of criminal subcultures within the military, according to Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, Chief of the General Staff of  the Armenian Armed Forces. Speaking to reporters on June 9, Asryan acknowledged that while such incidents persist, targeted countermeasures are underway.

ArmInfo.Servicemen serving compulsory military service will be eligible for additional compensation upon transitioning to contract service in the Armenian  Armed Forces.  The RA government approved the compensation amounts at its meeting on May 27.

ArmInfo.  Artur Avanesyan (Kandaz), a legendary Artsakh intelligence officer, holder of the Second Degree "Battle Cross" Order, and head of the Strong Armenia  security team,  who was arrested on charges of electoral bribery, has  declared a hunger strike. Arega Hovsepyan, a member of Samvel  Karapetyan's Strong Armenia party, shared this information.

ArmInfo. Anna Abajyan, the mother of Robert Abajyan, a hero of the 2016 four-day April war and junior sergeant of the NKR Defense Army, has passed away at the age of 52.

ArmInfo. The Armenian Ministry of Defense confirmed the death of Narek Hakobyan, a serviceman in the country's Armed Forces, without providing any details of the tragedy. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has opened a criminal case on charges of incitement to suicide.

ArmInfo. Legendary Artsakh intelligence officer, holder of the Second Degree "Battle Cross" Order, and head of the "Strong Armenia" security team, Artur  Avanesyan (Kandaz) dedicated his entire life to the Armenian army.  This was stated by Arega Hovsepyan, a member of the "Strong Armenia"  party, in response to a publication by Anna Hakobyan, the ex-wife of  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, claiming that she did not  see the legendary intelligence officer Artur Avanesyan during the  44-day war in 2020 around Artsakh. "Pashinyan is the behavior of a  weak and cowardly leader. 

ArmInfo.  Representatives of the Armenian Ombudsman, on behalf of Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, conducted an unannounced rapid response visit to the Yerevan Garrison Hospital of the Ministry of Defense in response to a complaint from the family of a serviceman.

ArmInfo.  A criminal case against a medical worker at the Yerevan Garrison Hospital for the negligent death of a serviceman has been sent with an indictment to a supervisory authority with a motion for approval and referral to  court, the Investigative Committee of Armenia reports.

ArmInfo. In the town of Nor Hachn in Armenia's Kotayk Province, the sister of a deceased Artsakh serviceman, a mother of five, was detained and taken to the Dilijan Investigative Department. The arrest took place late in the evening  in front of her children, three of whom were minors. Artsakh lawyer  Roman Yeritsyan reported this live on his Facebook page.

ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has overturned its December 16, 2021, decision to  terminate the criminal prosecution of Junior Sergeant V.O. of the Nth Military Unit of the Ministry of Defense in the case of the death of a conscript of the RA Armed Forces and transferred the criminal case materials along with the indictment to the competent court.

At its March 2 session, the RA  National Assembly Committee on Defense and Security approved the second and final reading of the draft law "On Persons Missing as a  Result of Military Actions" and a package of related laws submitted by the RA government.

ArmInfo. Relatives of fallen Armenian servicemen held a protest outside the Armenian presidential residence on Baghramyan Street, demanding  a public apology from  President Vahagn Khachaturyan  for his "serenades" to  Azerbaijani  President Ilham Aliyev during discussions held on the sidelines of  the Davos International Economic Forum.
