The event began with a symbolic initiative where participants signed a petition supporting the  introduction of the "Safarov Law"—a proposed legislative act aimed at  prohibiting Azerbaijani nationals from purchasing land and real  estate in the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  The "Strong Armenia" party is planning to pass the "Anti-Safarov Law," which would prohibit Azerbaijanis from purchasing land or apartments in the Republic, receiving gifts, and staying in the country for more than  10 days. Narek Karapetyan, a board member of the "Strong Armenia"  party, stated this in an interview with the Armenian television  channel "Kentron."

ArmInfo.Businessman and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison by an Azerbaijani military court on fabricated charges, turns 58 today. This marks the third consecutive year he is spending his birthday in an Azerbaijani prison.

Pashinyan used  Artsvashen—an enclave expected to return to Armenian jurisdiction  following the border delimitation and demarcation process—as a  primary example.

ArmInfo.  Azerbaijan is making very serious efforts to appropriate the Islamic cultural  heritage located in the Republic of Armenia and present it as Turkic-  Azerbaijani. This was reported in a publication by monumentwatch.org,  a website monitoring the cultural heritage of Artsakh, in response to  statements by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the conference  "Cultural Heritage and the Right of Return," held in Baku on December  5. "The first steps in this direction were taken during the Soviet  era by historian Ziya Bunyadov and orientalist Meshadi-khanum  Neymatova.  They primarily focused on Syunik. Neymatova published  inscriptions on Muslim gravestones in the villages of Vorotan,  Vaghatin, and Aghitu in the Sisi region of Syunik Province, which  contained deliberate errors in the decipherment. This was documented  by renowned orientalist A. Khachatryan, who, in his voluminous book  on Arabic inscriptions in Armenia, examined each gravestone in detail  from a substantive, grammatical, and linguistic perspective," the  Monumentwatch publication states.

If in the past  international organizations expressed concern over Azerbaijan's  policy of appropriating and destroying Armenian cultural heritage, it  is now evident that even Islamic monuments are falling victim to the  same behavior, as the authoritarian regime in Baku demonstrates the  same degree of indifference and destructive policy toward them,  Artsakh's Cultural Heritage Ombudsman Hovik Avanesov reports.
