ArmInfo.  IDBank and Idram  summarized their participation at COP17 alongside their partners, presenting a number of key initiatives in the fields of sustainable development and biodiversity.

ArmInfo.In a special issue of Regional Post magazine dedicated to COP17, IDBank shared its strategic vision and commitment to digital innovation, biodiversity conservation, and the "green" transformation.

On the sidelines of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), Armenian Environment Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan held separate meetings with representatives of Switzerland, India, and Qatar, focusing on prospects for environmental cooperation.

ArmInfo. The opening of the “Forest Biodiversity: An Immersive Experience” exhibition by the “My Forest Armenia” NGO took place in the Green Zone of COP17, with representatives of IDBank and Idram in attendance.

ArmInfo. Team Telecom Armenia, a technology partner of COP17, announced the launch of an environmental campaign on October 19 under the slogan "Caring with Action." According to Team's press service, the campaign aims to develop the habit of caring for nature on a daily basis.

The international community has already formulated the concept of "living in harmony with nature" and, in 2022, adopted the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, setting goals and clear benchmarks until 2030. Armenia, however, is halfway to achieving these benchmarks. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the opening plenary session of the "Leaders for Nature" summit, held as part of COP17 (the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity) at the Meridian Expo Center.

ArmInfo. While emphasizing the importance of preserving biological diversity, sustainable use of natural resources and effective public participation in environmental decision-making, the authorities of Artsakh express deep concern over the environmental and biocultural consequences of the forced displacement of the Armenian population of Artsakh. This was stated in the message of Acting Speaker of the National Assembly of Artsakh Gagik Baghunts to the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, delegates, and participants of the CBD COP17 conference.

ArmInfo. Hollywood actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio expressed support for a large-scale global initiative to protect endangered species, announced in Yerevan during the COP17 biodiversity conference.

ArmInfo. Turkey desires the strengthening of peace, tranquility, and prosperity in the South Caucasus and, of course, continues the process of Armenian-Turkish normalization, taking into account the current situation there. Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumakli told reporters this on October 16 on the sidelines of COP17 in Yerevan.

The Armenian government feels a special responsibility to nature, because during difficult times for Armenians, during difficult times for the Republic of Armenia, it was nature that saved the Armenian people. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this on October 16 in Yerevan during his welcoming speech at the opening plenary session of the "Leaders for Nature" summit, held as part of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17).

ArmInfo.A new biodiversity park will be established in the heart of the capital, covering approximately 1.2 hectares adjacent to the Matenadaran. This latest project, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of IDBank’s founding, is being implemented jointly with Matenadaran, with the parties having signed a memorandum of understanding and an agreement․

ArmInfo. On September 16, 2026, as part of a state visit to the Republic of Korea, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov participated in the first "Central Asia – Republic of Korea" Summit.

Arminfo.  On September 16, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received Andrea Barbara Baumann, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Armenia, on the occasion of the national holiday.

ArmInfo. Discussions on the RA Government Program for 2026-2031 will begin at the session of the National Assembly of Armenia on August 24. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will deliver the keynote address. A heated debate is expected.

ArmInfo. The Armenian government aims to secure an average annual economic growth rate of  6% for 2026–2031. This is outlined in the Cabinet's draft five-year  program, which presents the key expected results of its activities  for the upcoming five-year period.

ArmInfo. The July beneficiary of "The Power of One Dram" initiative was "My Forest Armenia" environmental non-governmental organization. The accumulated AMD 5,094,763 was directed to the implementation of large-scale tree planting and forest restoration, contributing to the preservation of local biodiversity.

ArmInfo.  Camera traps at the Khosrov Forest State Reserve have once again captured a Caucasian  leopard, one of Armenia's rarest and most beautiful predators.  Armenian Minister of Environment Hambardzum Matevosyan announced this  on his Facebook page.

ArmInfo.The June beneficiary of the Power of One Dram initiative was the Teach for Armenia Foundation, which works to ensure access to quality education for every child in Armenia, regardless of where they live. A total of AMD 5,062,971 raised through the initiative will be allocated to the implementation of the Teacher Leadership Program.
