ArmInfo. Thirteen suspects in an Armenian organized crime ring have been arrested in the US, as reported by ABC News.

ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities are tightening the liability for reservists or individuals liable for military service who avoid attending training camps. The initiative of the Ministry of Defense to define forms of evasion of citizens  from training camps, clarify the qualification of the act and tighten  the liability for the committed act in conjunction with a number of  circumstances, as well as clarify the responsibilities and authority  of the military police was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on  May 15 at a regular meeting. 

ArmInfo. In total, the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has investigated 5 criminal cases (10 episodes) against L.A. (journalist Lilit Aghekyan - ed.), and currently 2 criminal cases (3 episodes) are at the preliminary investigation stage.

ArmInfo.  Taguhi Tovmasyan, National Assembly member from the opposition faction "I Have Honor," responded to  accusations made by the head of the ruling faction "Civil Contract," Hayk Konjoryan, regarding her property.  "Yes, I  have three apartments in Yerevan, one of which houses the editorial  office of the daily newspaper "Zhoghovurd", I purchased one before  marriage, and the third during my marriage with my husband," Taguhi  Tovmasyan said.

ArmInfo.  On June 5, 2025, the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) will hold a virtual hearing on Azerbaijan. Witnesses will discuss religious freedom conditions in Azerbaijan. They will also share  recommendations for the U.S. government to support religious freedom  in Azerbaijan.

ArmInfo.  As a result of active investigative actions, many persons who took part in the riots of November 9, 2020 have been identified. This was stated on May 12 from the rostrum of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of  Armenia Artur Poghosyan, speaking about the progress of the  investigation of the criminal case on the attempt on the life of the  then Chairman of the National Assembly, and now the Minister of  Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan.

ArmInfo. The head of the Shirak regional department of the main criminal police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, police colonel Karen Gevorgyan threatened journalist Lilit Aghekyan during her personal  search, emphasizing that he will not forget that she is the only  journalist who criticized his activities. This is reported by the  journalist's lawyer Zaruhi Postanjyan.

ArmInfo.  The Union of Journalists of Armenia (UJA) issued a statement in connection with the arrest of journalist Lilit Agekyan in Gyumri.. The UJA statement notes that Agekyan was detained late in the evening of May 8.

ArmInfo.  Former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Lieutenant General Mikael Arzumanyan, who joined the Artsakh Liberation War at the age of 16, has been serving a prison sentence for almost three years - this sentence is nothing more than political persecution, opposition MP Gegham Manukyan wrote on his Facebook account.
