ArmInfo. US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien has concluded her visit to the Syunik region, where she emphasized the United States' continued support for peace,  greater shared economic prosperity, and  preservation of cultural  heritage.  As reported by the press service of the US Embassy, during  her March 25-26 visit, Kvien discussed economic and regional issues  with the Syunik  Governor Robert Ghukasyan,  Tegh Community Head  David Ghulunts, and other members of local community.

ArmInfo.Armenian Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan met today with US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia, Kristina Kvien.  As reported by the press service of the supervisory body, Anna Vardapetyan emphasized the importance of building trust and  cooperation between the US Embassy and the Prosecutor General's  Office, as well as the need to continue working together in priority  areas for the prosecutor's office. Several issues of mutual interest  were discussed during the meeting.

This issue was the subject of a conversation between the Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Armen Ghazaryan and Armen  Mkrtchyan with Zachary Barter, Director of the U.S. Embassy Yerevan's  Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

ArmInfo. Arsen Ayvazyan, the Deputy hairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, received a delegation led by Jari Barnett, the US Consul General in Armenia, on January 14.  As reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee,  Arsen Ayvazyan  greeted Jari Barnett and congratulated  on assuming the position of the Consul Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Armenia. He pointed out the high level of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of both countries  and the support provided to the system by the US Embassy.

On January 8, Artur Poghosyan, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, received a delegation led by the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia, Kristina Kvien.  As reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, during the meeting Artur Poghosyan highlighted the strong cooperation between the Investigative Committee and the US Embassy.  In turn, the US Ambassador congratulated Poghosyan on his appointment and appreciated the meeting initiative.

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, they note the importance of the US Embassy's participation in the reforms being implemented in the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic. This was discussed at a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Armen  Mkrtchyan and the attache of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in  Armenia and Georgia Alexander Tiguin and the investigator of the  Foreign Criminal Investigation Division of the Diplomatic Security  Service of the US Department of State Tigran Petrosyan.

ArmInfo. US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Joshua Huck and Senior Adviser for Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono have arrived in Baku for high-level meetings with their counterparts and consultations with Ambassador Mark Libby and members of his team. This was stated in a message of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan on Twitter (X).

ArmInfo. Amid Aliyev-government repression and intimidation during the COP29  climate conference in Baku - with their personal safety on the line -  Senators Ed Markey (D-MA) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and  Congressional Armenian Caucus founding Co-Chair Frank Pallone (D-NJ)  championed the right of return of Artsakh's ethnically cleansed  Armenian population, and advocated for the Azerbaijan's immediate  release of Armenian hostages, reported the Armenian National  Committee of America (ANCA).

ArmInfo. Armenia and Azerbaijan, with the assistance of the United States, are working  together on an integrated water management scheme for transboundary  rivers.  The US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mark Libby, announced this  partnership, as reported by the US Embassy in Baku on Twitter (X). 

ArmInfo.During a press conference on November 2, public administration specialist and economist Hovhannes Avetisyan stated that the police are in the hands of people who deceived the public in the past. Avetisyan was   detained by law enforcement officers on October 31 along with a group of young people suspected of illegal possession of weapons. All 9 detained citizens were later released.

ArmInfo.. With this statement, the Alternative Socio-Political Movement Miasin (Together), based on the public  prescription of the official US policy supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia, addressed the US Ambassador to Armenia, Christina Kvien.

ArmInfo. US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien visited the Yerablur military pantheon and paid tribute to the memory of the sons of the Armenian people who laid down their lives for the Motherland as a result of the aggression initiated by Azerbaijan.  "Ambassador Kvien paid her respects to the Armenians who have lost their lives in the decades of conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The United States is committed to working with the Government of Armenia to assist those who have lost their homes and livelihood. We underscore our steadfast support to concluding a durable and dignified peace agreement to finally bring stability and security to the region," the US Embassy in Yerevan said in a statement.
