ArmInfo. Ashgabat has entered the international spotlight in the field of sustainable urban development following remarks made during the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, where the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) announced that it is considering opening a project office in the Turkmen capital in the near future. This development further reinforces Ashgabat’s growing profile as an emerging regional platform for international dialogue, sustainable urban transformation and infrastructure cooperation.

ArmInfo.  Armenia intends to ratify the Board of Peace Charter established by US President Donald Trump. At its April 30 meeting, the RA Government approved a bill  on the ratification of the document. It will be submitted to  the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. Mark Carney,  Prime Minister of Canada,  will attend the EPC Summit in Yerevan as a guest, according to a statement from the European Commission.

ArmInfo. U.S. President Donald Trump stated during the National Prayer Breakfast that he ended eight wars "such as Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia,  Pakistan and India, Israel and Iran, Armenia and Azerbaijan."

ArmInfo.On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, at the invitation of US President Donald Trump, participated in the signing ceremony of the Board of Peace Charter as a founding member, as reported by the PM's office.  President of the Republic of Armenia  Vahagn Khachaturyan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan were also in attendance.

An internal German Foreign Ministry document states that such a "global international peace organization" is a "counter-project" competing with the UN, and that its chairman (Trump) would personally receive "comprehensive decision-making powers."

ArmInfo. Armenia intends to ratify the conventions on the peaceful settlement of international  disputes. The Commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on State and Legal Issues at its meeting on January 10 issued a positive conclusion on the above- mentioned documents adopted in  The Hague on July 29, 1899 and October 18, 1907.
