ArmInfo. The people of Armenia cast their votes in a crucial election for their country's future and, in many ways, for the future of the South Caucasus  region, as noted in a statement issued by a group of European  Parliament members regarding the elections held in the country.

ArmInfo. In his video address at the 8th ENP summit in Yerevan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev accused the European Parliament of bias and boasted about the de-Armenization of Artsakh.

ArmInfo.On March 11, a cross-party coalition of MEPs sent an official letter to Kaja Kallas, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, urging a fundamental reassessment of the EU's policy towards Azerbaijan.

ArmInfo. A discussion with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan took place in Brussels at the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee.

ArmInfo. The representatives of Armenia's ruling Civil Contract party, voted for an anti-Georgian resolution within  Euronest, referring to the Georgian government as "self-proclaimed." The opposition Hayastan parliamentary faction members  shared this information on Facebook.

ArmInfo. The worsening of Armenian-Georgian relations due to the irresponsible actions of the current government will have not only political but also economic consequences. This was stated by Garnik Danielyan, a member of parliament from the opposition Armenia faction, regarding the  Georgian side's reaction to the ruling Civil Contract party's  endorsement of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly resolution  questioning the legitimacy of the Georgian government.

ArmInfo.  Georgian Parliament Vice Speaker Nino Tsilosani criticized Armenian parliamentarians for supporting the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly resolution regarding Georgia.

ArmInfo. We must be prepared for Azerbaijani delegations to visit Yerevan, and Armenian delegations to Baku. This was stated by Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan on October 31 in a conversation with journalists, commenting on Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's refusal to participate in the European Political Community (EPC) summit in Yerevan.

ArmInfo.  National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan believes the opposition is obsessed with the return of Artsakh residents. He stated this in response to the refusal of representatives of Armenia's ruling Civil Contract party  to support a draft resolution at the Euronest session in Yerevan  demanding the protection of the right of return of internally  displaced persons to Nagorno- Karabakh.

ArmInfo. MPs from the ruling Civil Contract party voted against a resolution demanding the right of return for the forcibly displaced population of Artsakh, as reported by Artur Khachatryan, a member of parliament from the  opposition "Armenia" faction,  on his Facebook page. 

ArmInfo.  On October 30, the 12th plenary session of the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly continued in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

The European Union supports the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and provides open support to lead the region toward sustainable peace, prosperity, and development, as stated in a message from Kaja Kalas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and  Security Policy, to the participants of the 12th plenary session of the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly in Yerevan, read by Audrone Perkauskine, Deputy Director of the EU External Action Service.

ArmInfo. Representatives from the youth wing of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) are holding a protest outside the country's parliament, where a session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly is currently taking place, to  draw attention to the issue of Armenian prisoners of war in Baku and  the political repression and criminal prosecution of opposition  members in Armenia. They arrived at the Armenian parliament building  carrying photographs of prisoners held in Azerbaijani prisons and  detained opposition members.

ArmInfo.  Former deputy minister of defense of Armenia, former head of the Armenian delegation to the Euronest PA Artak Zakaryan has addressed the following open letter to the participants on 12th plenary session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly of the Eastern Partnership. 

ArmInfo. When speaking about the domestic political situation in Armenia, Nacho Sanchez Amor, member of the European Parliament, criticized the arrest of  people for expressing opinions or posting on social media, deeming it unacceptable..

ArmInfo. Member of the European Parliament Rasa Juknevieiene welcomed the steps taken by Yerevan and Baku toward establishing peace between the countries.

ArmInfo. The delegation of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan will not participate in  the 12th plenary session of the Euronest Assembly in Yerevan, which  is scheduled to take place from October 28-30. Tahir Mirkishili, head  of the Azerbaijani delegation to Euronest, told APA.

ArmInfo.  The 12th plenary session of the Eastern Partnership Parliamentary Assembly (EURONEST), as well as bureau and committee meetings, will be held in Yerevan from October 28 to 30.

ArmInfo. On April 14, NA Vice-Speaker Ruben Rubinyan received the Co-Chair of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, Sergey Lagodinsky.  As reported by the press service of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia,  the meeting discussed issues on enhancing collaboration between Armenia and the European Union. Ruben Rubinyan pointed out the significance of the visa liberalization process for Armenian citizens.
