ArmInfo. Edward Asryan, Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia and Commander of the Armed Forces,  received Claudia Busch, Ambassador of the Federal Republic  of Germany to Armenia.

ArmInfo. In preparation for participation in international peacekeeping missions, the Eagle Partner 2026 military exercises began on June 17 at the Zar training  center, as reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of  Defense.

Consequently, the medical note submitted by Ohanyan's  defense attorney did not comply with the new form.

ArmInfo. The presence of Azerbaijani armed forces on Armenia's sovereign territory remains a  serious cause for concern, as stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Edward Asryan, to reporters on June 9.

ArmInfo.Armenian authorities have changed the emblem of the Armenian Armed Forces. This was revealed from footage of banners posted in Republic Square, where preparations are underway for a military parade scheduled for May 28, the Day of the First Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities have turned the Armenian Armed Forces into an election campaign tool, as stated by  Gegham Manukyan, an MP from the opposition Armenia faction and member of the parliamentary Standing  Committee on Defense and Security, regarding the upcoming military  parade in Yerevan on May 28.

ArmInfo.No cases of murder were recorded within the Armenian Armed Forces in 2025, as announced by Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan at a meeting of the NA committee on April 29, when  presenting a report on the work over  the past year.

ArmInfo. The Mother See of Etchmiadzin called on the Ministry of Justice of Armenia to respect the law and the established ecclesiastical order, to refrain from obstructing the Church's mission, and to restore the normal  functioning of spiritual ministry in penitentiary institutions.

ArmInfo. The Armenian Ministry of Defense confirmed the death of Narek Hakobyan, a serviceman in the country's Armed Forces, without providing any details of the tragedy. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has opened a criminal case on charges of incitement to suicide.

ArmInfo. Instead of properly ensuring information and psychological security in the army, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and the ministry he leads are caught  in the middle of the ruling Civil Contract party's pre-election  turmoil. ArmInfo.RA Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan is not involved in issues related to the hygiene of the country's armed forces. He stated this to journalists on April 6, commenting on the assertions of Hayk  Sargsyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ruling "Civil Contract" faction, that soldiers are only able to bathe once a week.

ArmInfo. The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' (MFA) cautious response to Azerbaijan's false narratives does not serve the national interests of the Republic of Armenia. Ashot Melkonyan, a historian at the Institute of  History of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, made this statement in an interview with an ArmInfo correspondent in response to a request to assess the Armenian Foreign Ministry's statement regarding Azerbaijan's accusations against the Armenian people concerning the alleged "1918 genocide against Azerbaijanis." 

ArmInfo. Gegham Manukyan, a member of the Armenian parliament from the opposition "Armenia" faction, responded to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's odious statement that the people of Artsakh "fled and did not fight" during the Azerbaijani aggression of 2023.

ArmInfo.  Armenia has applied to the EU for a third tranche of assistance from the European Peace Facility. This was announced by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
