ArmInfo.The Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations in France (CCAF) welcomes the historic decision of the State of Israel to officially recognize the Armenian Genocide of 1915.

ArmInfo. While the Armenian authorities are attempting to revision the events of 1915 (the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey), the Turkish Defense Ministry continues its policy of denial, and even tries to shift the  blame from the perpetrator to the victim.

ArmInfo. The Armenian National Congress has never raised the issue of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide being at the core of Armenia's foreign policy,  as they feared that this issue could become a bargaining chip in the  geopolitical games of global actors.  This was stated to journalists  by ANC Deputy Chairman and RA Prime Ministerial Candidate Levon  Zurabyan on April 24.

ArmInfo. Genocide scholars have  expressed their concern over the dismissal of the director of the  Armenian Genocide Institute-Museum, Edita Gzoyan. 

ArmInfo.  The Secretary General of the National Museum of Oman, Jamal Al-Moosawi, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial  and Museum in Yerevan.

ArmInfo.Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin is willing  to support initiatives that promote the study of documents on the Armenian Genocide, the popularization of Christian heritage, and the dissemination of spiritual values, as stated by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II  during a meeting with German historian Michael Hesemann.

ArmInfo. Instead of completely demolishing the Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, it's necessary to simply reconsider the approach to its reconstruction. Architect Anahit Tarkhanyan stated this at a press  conference in Yerevan during a discussion of the reconstruction of  the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex.

ArmInfo. It is obvious that the statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the Armenian Genocide has nothing to do with the interests of either the Republic of Armenia or the Armenian people, as stated by Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a briefing in Yerevan on August 28.

ArmInfo. On April 23, an official commemoration event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at Montmartre Square near the City Hall of the 15th arrondissement of Paris.

ArmInfo.  The staff of the South Caucasus Railway company, headed by General Director Alexey Melnikov, visited the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex on April 24.  As stated in the SCR report, the staff honored the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide by laying flowers and wreaths at the memorial.

ArmInfo.The second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, rejected the proposal made in 2005 by the  then Prime Minister of Turkey, now President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to create a commission of historians to analyze the authenticity of the Armenian Genocide. This was stated by the head of the office of the  second president of Armenia Bagrat Mikoyan, in response to a statement made by the MP from the ruling Civil Contract party, Arusyak Julhakyan.

The denial of the historical fact of the Armenian Genocide by the Armenian authorities, the desecration of the memory of martyrs recognized as saints, the silence of the church and the collaboration of a significant part of the intelligentsia, in particular historians, with mediocrities, leads to the devaluation and falsification of national memory and heritage.

Nonetheless, nothing seems to have to come out of the meeting of the UN Security Council  on August 16 on the blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).  Member  of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Co-chair of the  US Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues Adam Schiff stated this in  his video message on his microblog on Twitter.
