ArmInfo. On April 23, an official commemoration event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at Montmartre Square near the City Hall of the 15th arrondissement of Paris.

ArmInfo.  The staff of the South Caucasus Railway company, headed by General Director Alexey Melnikov, visited the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex on April 24.  As stated in the SCR report, the staff honored the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide by laying flowers and wreaths at the memorial.

ArmInfo.The second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, rejected the proposal made in 2005 by the  then Prime Minister of Turkey, now President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to create a commission of historians to analyze the authenticity of the Armenian Genocide. This was stated by the head of the office of the  second president of Armenia Bagrat Mikoyan, in response to a statement made by the MP from the ruling Civil Contract party, Arusyak Julhakyan.

The denial of the historical fact of the Armenian Genocide by the Armenian authorities, the desecration of the memory of martyrs recognized as saints, the silence of the church and the collaboration of a significant part of the intelligentsia, in particular historians, with mediocrities, leads to the devaluation and falsification of national memory and heritage.

Nonetheless, nothing seems to have to come out of the meeting of the UN Security Council  on August 16 on the blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).  Member  of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Co-chair of the  US Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues Adam Schiff stated this in  his video message on his microblog on Twitter.

ArmInfo.Armenian NGOs have appealed to the U.S. Security Council prior to its meeting convened  at Armenia's suggestion.  

ArmInfo.Foreign Affairs Committee of European Parliament has just adopted the Report on 2022  Commission Report on Turkiye, which "supports the normalization of relations between Armenia & Turkiye in the interest of reconciliation, regional stability & security..." This was reported by Armenia's Permanent Mission to the EU.

ArmInfo.The Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission (TLHRC) held a landmark hearing spotlighting  Azerbaijan's escalating aggression against the indigenous Armenian Christians of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh), calling for sanctions against the Azerbaijani government in the face of a second Armenian Genocide taking place in the region, reported the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA).

ArmInfo.The Tasmanian House of Assembly has become the third state jurisdiction in Australia to  recognise the 1915 Armenian, Assyrian and Greek Genocides perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire, reported the Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU).  

ArmInfo. On the day of the 108th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, the  Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a cynical statement praising those who were involved in organizing this crime against humanity.

ArmInfo. Svenja Schulze, Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, accompanied by RA Deputy Minister of Economy Armen Arzumanyan,  visited the Memorial to Armenian Genocide victims to pay tribute to  the victims' memory.

ArmInfo.An international symposium marking the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide has taken place in Athens, Greece. 

ArmInfo.The traditional torchlight march in memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide committed by the Ottoman Empire in 1915 started from the  Republic Square in Yerevan. Thousands of participants in the march,  which this year is held under the slogan "Zartnir, lao!" (Wake up, my  son>) with torches and flags, went to the Tsitsernakaberd memorial  complex.

ArmInfo.From April 20 to April 22 Armenia will host a unique international "Challenges of Armenian Genocide Education in the 21st Century" scientific  conference, within which 29 reports will be presented. Director of  Armenian Genocide Museum- Institute Harutyun Marutyan announced this  on April 18 at a meeting with journalists, announcing commemorative  events dedicated to the 107th anniversary of the massacre of  Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.

ArmInfo. Accompanied by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of External Affairs  Subrahmanyam Jaishankar visited the Tsitsernakaberd memorial  complex of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

ArmInfo. Acting US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker paid tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide by laying a  wreath at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial on behalf of the American  people.

ArmInfo. The European Parliament, at a plenary session on May 19, in its report on Turkey, confirmed its call for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.   According to the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Belgium,  Turkey is also strongly recommended to refrain from anti-Armenian  propaganda and hate speech, and fully comply with its obligations to  protect Armenian culture. The report also contains several references  to Turkey's negative role in the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict.
