ArmInfo.As part of a working visit to Armenia's Syunik region, Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan visited the Agarak checkpoint on the Armenian-Iranian border on July 22. During her visit, she inspected the facility,  reviewed border control procedures, and assessed how human rights are  safeguarded within those processes.

ArmInfo. The 3rd International Congress on Armenian Studies has commenced in Yerevan, dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of Mkhitar Sebastatsi, an outstanding spiritual leader, scholar, and founder of  the Mekhitarist Congregation.  Armenian studies scholars from leading  universities and research institutions across 16 countries are taking  part in the event.

This was stated by lawyer and representative of the  "Strong Armenia" bloc, Aram Vardevanyan, in a conversation with  journalists in Yerevan on July 22 in front of the Central Electoral  Commission (CEC).

ArmInfo.  Erem Sargsyan, lawyer for opposition Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik  Tsarukyan, has sharply criticized the investigation's decision to  summon him for interrogation as a witness.

This musical evening,  taking place on July 22 at 7:00 PM next to the Dilijan city pond,  will be dedicated to the city and its residents. The program will  feature works by one of the most beloved Armenian composers, Arno  Babajanyan.

ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities' actions against their political opponents are already costing Armenia lost investments and the trust of the business community. This was  stated by Arman Abovyan, a member of the political party, in a  conversation with journalists in Yerevan on July 22.

ArmInfo.  A complaint has been filed with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) regarding the case of former Nagorno-Karabakh state minister and philanthropist Ruben  Vardanyan, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison in Azerbaijan.  This was stated in a statement by Siranush Sahakyan, attorney and  president of the Center for International and Comparative Law, who  represents Armenian prisoners at the ECHR. Her statement was  published on Vardanyan's official social media pages. Saakyan stated  that the complaint regarding the case of Ruben Vardanyan, a citizen  of the Republic of Armenia currently held in the Umbaki Penitentiary  Complex in Azerbaijan, was filed with the ECHR on July 19, 2026.
