ArmInfo.  The current Armenian government realizes that it is highly unlikely that it will  be able to cope with two organized opposition centers that actively oppose it and refuse to engage in any negotiations or agreements with Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

ArmInfo.  World Council of Churches general secretary Rev. Jerry Pillay, has expressed deep concern regarding recent developments in Armenia involving the Armenian Apostolic Church, including reported law enforcement actions  at the Holy Etchmiadzin and the detention of senior clergy.

ArmInfo.   On July 7, in New York, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan participated and delivered remarks at the Special Session of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute on the Review of the  Amendments on the Crime of Aggression.

ArmInfo.  Armenian Ombudsperson Anahit Manasyan reports that on July 8, 2025, she received a number  of calls to the human rights defender's hotline from lawyers, They reported that the preliminary investigation body had not granted them  access to their detained clients for several hours.

ArmInfo.  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Kotayk branch of the Armenian charitable foundation SOS Children's Villages. Accompanied by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan and the foundation's leadership, the Prime Minister toured the center, hosted children under the organization's care, and communicated with them and employees.

ArmInfo.  From April to June 2025, 50 cases of attacks and hate incidents against Christians in Israel were recorded, including the Armenian Quarter in Jerusalim's Old City, as evidenced by the Religious Freedom Data Center's (RFDC) quarterly report. 

ArmInfo. Investigators have seized 37 documents from the office of Narek Karapetyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC. Narek Karapetyan himself confirmed this in a conversation with journalists on July 8.  Commenting on the Investigative Committee's report on large-scale searches in 51 organizations suspected of money  laundering and tax evasion on a particularly large scale, the head of  the Council noted that the authorities want to start a planned  process. Finding nothing significant, they resort to mass pressure. 

ArmInfo.  Armenia officially signed the agreement and became one of the Member States of the UN Countering Terrorism Travel Program, as reported by the UN Office in Armenia.

ArmInfo. The search at the Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC should be completed any minute. This was announced to journalists on July 9 by the company's acting general director David Kazinyan.

ArmInfo.  The war has moved to Armenia, but by other methods.  Turkey and Azerbaijan have entered the Armenian parliament, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the strategically important electrical networks. The leader of the Mother Armenia bloc Andranik Tevanyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

ArmInfo.  Law enforcement agencies of Armenia have been given a public order to attack the Armenian Apostolic Church. Lawyer Yerem Sargsyan wrote about this on his Facebook account. 

ArmInfo. Members of the Swiss Parliament Erich Fontobel and Lukas Reimann, as well as the President of Christian Solidarity International (CSI) John Eibner and former Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian arrived in Washington to present the Swiss peace initiative on Artsakh and to promote more active US involvement in establishing justice and long-term stability in the South Caucasus.

ArmInfo.  Human rights defender Anahit Manasyan made a statement in which she strongly condemned the incident that took place on July 8 in the National Assembly with the participation of MPs.

ArmInfo. Russian businessman of Armenian origin, head of the Tashir Group of Companies Samvel Karapetyan filed lawsuits against the press secretary of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nazeli Baghdasaryan, deputy head of the office of the Prime Minister of Armenia Taron Chakhoyan, as well as political  scientist Harutyun Mkrtchyan. This was reported by the Datalex  judicial and legal information portal.

ArmInfo.  "We expected all this, they were a little late, and, probably, in all likelihood, they will arrest me, but I don't know for what yet," Chairman of the Board of Directors of CJSC "Electric Networks of Armenia" Narek Karapetyan,  nephew of businessman Samvel Karapetyan, told journalists. Narek  Karapetyan left the house with a book in his hands. In response to a  question from journalists, he said: "I'm taking it with me to read  there (meaning in the detention center - ed.). I think there will be  a 90% arrest warrant, they searched for so long, but found nothing.   When they came to our house, they found 2 hats, a photo frame with  children's photos and 4 iPhones, money, that's all.  After our  protest event, aggression increased, now any small opportunity will  be used to create problems against people," said Narek Karapetyan.

ArmInfo.  The Investigative Committee of Armenia is investigating criminal cases initiated on the facts of theft by fraud on an especially large scale, money laundering on an especially large scale, as well as tax evasion on an  especially large scale.

ArmInfo.  At the extraordinary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on July 8, the discussion of the petition of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan on the consent of the parliament to deprive the member of the National Assembly Artur Sargsyan of  parliamentary immunity for the purpose of subsequently bringing him  to criminal responsibility continued.
