ArmInfo.The Consular Service of the Czech Embassy in Armenia is planning to transfer the function of issuing short-term visas to a visa center.  Petr Peruncik,  the Czech Ambassador to Armenia, reported on his Facebook page that "Czech Republic is going to use the services of a visa center.  In the near  future, a concession procedure for external provision of services for processing short-term visa applications in Armenia."

ArmInfo.  Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan attempted  to convince the media and the public during a press conference on September 15 that the issue with air quality in the city is just  imaginary. To make his case, he presented data  recorded by sensors installed at construction sites in the capital,  where the PM 2.5 indicator (fine particles of dust and other  pollutants in the air) was, according to him, within the maximum  permissible concentration (MPC).

ArmInfo. Turkey and Georgia will continue to act together. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a joint briefing with his Georgian counterpart  Mikhail Kavelashvili in Ankara.

ArmInfo.  During its term in office, compared to the previous 6-year period, the government of Nikol Pashinyan has increased financial assistance to its colleagues from Artsakh by 2.3 times. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan from the rostrum of the parliament on April  15.

ArmInfo. Sixty U.S. Representatives have called on Secretary of State Marco Rubio to  enforce Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act - demanding an  immediate end to U.S. military assistance to Azerbaijan, citing  Baku's ethnic cleansing of Artsakh's 120,000 indigenous Armenian  Christian population, continued occupation of sovereign Armenian  territory, and illegal detention and abuse of Armenian prisoners,  reported the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA). 

ArmInfo. Armenia's 2024 score remained unchanged compared to previous year and is equal to 47 on a scale from 0 (absolutely corrupt) to 100 (absolutely clean). In the 2024 CPI ranking table (see on the  https://www.transparency.org/en/ ) which includes 180 countries,  Armenia is sharing 63-64-th places with Croatia (in 2023, Armenia was  on the 62nd place with the same 47 points).

ArmInfo. Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center has submitted comments on the  draft decree of the Minister of Environment "On Approval of the Guidelines for Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)", recommending its revision.

ArmInfo.The Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, as well as its foundation, the Declaration of  Independence, have been repeatedly examined by the most authoritative international structures, and none of them have found any illegal or radical provisions.

ArmInfo. The Republic of Armenia has received rights to another property. RA Prosecutor General Anna  Vardapetyan announced  at a government meeting on June 6.

ArmInfo.Russian border guards remained at the borders of Iran and Turkiye at the request of the  Armenian side. Former commander of the Armed Forces of Artsakh Samvel Babayan made a similar statement on the air of "A1+".

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II sent a letter of condolences to leader of the Iranian revolution, Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, in connection with the tragic death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, Governor of East Azerbaijan Malek Rahmati,  and Imam of Tabriz Ayatollah Ale-Hashem (Seyyed Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem ).

ArmInfo.Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, sent a message of condolence  to the Minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics of Iran, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, in connection with the death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, and his accompanying staff as a result of the helicopter crash.

ArmInfo. Today an exceptional situation has arisen in Armenia - the Armenian people took to the  streets to express their will in order to record that they do not accept what is happening. This was stated by members of the National Democratic Pole (also known as the National Democratic Alliance )  council Ara Papyan and Garegin Chookaszian on May 13 at a press conference.

ArmInfo. The "Tavush for the Motherland " initiative demands that the Armenian law enforcement agencies investigate a report accusing Primate of the Diocese of Tavush, His Holiness (Srbazan) Bagrat Galstanyan of committing a  crime

The relatively modest amounts of "support" announced in Brussels should not be misleading.  A similar opinion was expressed by political observer, expert of the Foundation for Strategic Culture (FSC), member of the Club of Friends of the Gorchakov Foundation Andrey Areshev in his article on FSC.

ArmInfo. As for Russia, we see that Russia plays a historical role in Armenia and across the South Caucasus. We hope it can be supportive of the people of Armenia as they choose as a path  of democracy reform and economic prosperity.
