ArmInfo.On December 12, Ameriabank opened a branch in Nor-Norq (address: Gayi Ave. 16) administrative district in the "Megamol Massif" shopping center,  which is the bank's eleventh branch in Yerevan. At the opening  ceremony, Ameriabank Retail Banking Director Arman Barseghyan  informed that this branch will work in a special mode - 7 days a week  from 10:30am to 9:15pm. Already six branches are operating in this  mode, including the newly opened one, and all of them are located in  the shopping centers of the capital, Barseghyan informed.

So far, S&P Global Ratings has not  assigned a sovereign rating to the Republic of Armenia.   According to S&P Global Ratings, the Armenian sovereign's  creditworthiness reflects a constraint on the ratings on Ameriabank.  Meaning that Ameriabank's stand-alone credit profile (SACP) rated  'bb-' is one notch higher than its final 'B+' long-term rating.

ArmInfo. More than half of the respondents surveyed believe that Armenia needs to develop the mining sector of the economy when fulfilling certain conditions of  its operation. As Arman Barseghyan, Director of Retail  Banking of Ameriabank, explained, within the framework of these  campaigns, SME representatives are offered more favorable conditions  for refinancing loans. ArmInfo.Ameriabank and the Dutch Development Bank (FMO) signed a loan agreement for 40 million euros to finance projects in the areas of renewable energy and energy  conservation, and to promote the activities of young entrepreneurs  and a businesswoman. As ArmInfo explained to the press service of  Ameriabank, under this agreement, the loan will be issued to  borrowers with a maturity of 5 years.

ArmInfo.Armenia needs to decide on unimplemented programs, which are financed by EU grant funds. This July 20 at a meeting with journalists, Deputy Director of  the Directorate-General for Neighborhood Policy and the talks on the  expansion of the European Commission Katarina Mathernova said.

ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank was recognized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as the most active issuing bank in Armenia in 2017 under the Trade Facilitation Program (TFP) for the results of 2017.  As the press service of the ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank told ArmInfo,  this award was awarded based on the results of activities in this  area, namely, the volume of trade finance operations conducted in  2017.

The World Health Organization will render consulting assistance to Armenia in  expanding the insurance component in the healthcare sphere, said the  head of the Armenian office of the World Health Organization (WHO)  Egor Zaitsev during a meeting with Health Minister Arsen Torosyan.  According to the press service of the ministry, the parties also  discussed the possibilities of expanding the insurance program.

ArmInfo.The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Ameriabank CJSC signed an agreement on acquisition of a $ 30 million equity participation to strengthen the Armenian banking sector and expand access to financial services in the country. The  contract was signed by the director of the Armenian office of ADB  Shane Rosenthal and the chairman of the Board of Directors of  Ameriabank Andrey Mkrtchyan at the official ceremony in Yerevan.

ArmInfo.Ameriabank announces, that it has signed a USD 11.5 million senior loan  agreement with Symbiotics' Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Bond issuance program, with a possibility to increase the amount by an additional USD 10 million in hard or local currency.  The loan facility is aimed at financing micro, small or medium enterprise clients of Ameriabank.

According to the press service of the Armenian government, during the meeting Karen Karapetyan expressed gratitude to Mark Rutte for the consistent technical and financial assistance provided by the Netherlands to the country, including through the international financial structures - EBRD, World Bank, IMF, and the Dutch group, of which Armenia is a member. The RA Prime Minister told his Dutch counterpart about the reforms implemented in Armenia, presented macroeconomic indicators and trends aimed at ensuring economic growth. Karen Karapetyan stressed that the republic's membership in the EAEU, cooperation with the EU and good relations with Iran create good conditions for the entry of Dutch companies into regional markets. The interlocutors also discussed the possibilities of intensifying cooperation within the framework of the agreement signed last November with the EU on a comprehensive and expanded partnership. Karen Karapetyan to his interlocutor, the reforms implemented by the government of the RA in the sphere of agriculture. He stressed that in this sphere there are great opportunities for interaction. "We are extremely interested in applying the experience and knowledge of the Netherlands in the field of agriculture," said the head of the Armenian government. Mark Rutte, in turn, noted that the Netherlands for the production of agricultural products are the second state in the world, and they will be happy to share their experience, being ready to take concrete steps in this direction.
