ArmInfo. Aceing Minister of Justice of Armenia Artak Zeynalyan visited Nairi Hunanyan in the penitentiary institution, convicted in the case of the terrorist act  in the Armenian parliament on October 27, 1999. Zeynalyan told this  to the journalists on December 17th.

ArmInfo.Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed laws on introducing amendments and additions to the Criminal Procedure Code, as well as declaring an amnesty on criminal cases, in connection with the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan  and the 100th anniversary of the first Republic of Armenia. ArmInfo.The National Assembly of Armenia on its extraordinary session unanimously with 75 votes voted for the draft law on granting amnesty on criminal cases  on the occasion of 2800th anniversary of Erebuni-Yerevan foundation  and 100th anniversary of the announcement of independence of the  First Armenian Republic.

At an extraordinary meeting on October 31, the National Assembly of Armenia unanimously adopted a draft law on "Announcement of Amnesty in Criminal Cases on the 2800th Anniversary of the Establishment of Erebuni-Yerevan and  the 100th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of the  First Republic of Armenia" at the first reading unanimously.

He stated this on  October 31 at an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly of  Armenia, which discusses the draft law on declaring an amnesty in  criminal cases in connection with the 2800th anniversary of Erebuni-  Yerevan foundation and the 100th anniversary of the independence of  the First Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. While the Armenian parliamentarians are discussing the bill on amnesty, in front of the building of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia,  relatives and friends of life-sentence prisoners are holding a rally,  demanding that the amnesty be extended to those serving a life  sentence.

ArmInfo. The forthcoming amnesty should not extend to the people who committed the murder. Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan told journalists today,  referring to the fact that on October 31 the National Assembly of  Armenia will discuss the draft law on amnesty.
