Ter-Aleksanya on "Pilgrimage to the Church of St. Gevork in Teliti, or Pictures from the Life of Armenian Women of Tiflis. As the newspaper Vecherny Saransk writes for the first time on the stage of the State Russian Theater of the Republic of Moldova and the Mordovian National Drama Theater, the Moscow Armenian Theater will perform as part of the annual International Festival of Russian Drama Theaters "Compatriots". The play is written in the already-published Tiflis Armenian dialect, translated into Russian by Slava Stepanyan and the curtain of the theater by Nelli Shahbazova. This is a funny story full of curiosities from the life of the "quiet" Armenian family. Location - Tiflis. The time of action is the 19th century. As noted in the publication, the history of the Moscow Armenian Theater dates back to the 1920s, when the theater studio headed by Suren Khachaturov, the elder brother of composer Aram Khachaturyan, began to work in the house of famous Armenian philanthropists of the Counts of Lazarev. An invaluable contribution to the development of the theater was made by Stanislavsky, who taught the culture of speech and skill of the actor, staged performances with Armenian actors, however, as well as Vahtangov. In 1952, the theater was interrupted. In 2002, exactly half a century after the closure, a new history of the theater begins. Recreated by his student and associate Sergei Parajanov, theater director and actor Slava Stepanyan. Performances here are played in Armenian and Russian, some in the original language of the plays. And put their masters from Russia, Armenia, Germany, Georgia and other countries. The thirteenth festival will bring together theater groups from Russia, the USA, Israel, Kazakhstan and Georgia. From March 30 to April 5, 9 festival shows will take place on the stage.
