ANCA Welcomes Capitol Hill Hearing on Azerbaijan`s Human Rights   Abuses 

ArmInfo.The Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission - Co- Chaired by Representatives Chris Smith  (R-NJ) and James McGovern (D-MA) - will host a hearing on September 19th at 10:30 am ET about Azerbaijani human rights abuses against Armenians since the genocide of Artsakh's (Nagorno Karabakh) Armenians last year, an act of bipartisan Congressional oversight supported by the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA).

ArmInfo. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia and the Armenian office of the  Red Cross Committee are considering the possibility of implementing  new joint initiatives to support the people of Artsakh. This was  announced during a meeting between the department head Narek  Mkrtchyan and the head of the Red Cross in Armenia David Nersisyan.

ArmInfo. Training courses for internally displaced persons from Artsakh are being organized in the Ararat and Vayots Dzor regions of Armenia. As the head of the program Astghik Avetisyan noted, refugees from Artsakh are deprived of the  opportunity to influence decision- making processes.

ArmInfo.During a briefing, General Director of South Caucasus Railways CJSC Alexey Melnikov spoke about  the work to restore the railway track after the severe flood in May 2024. "Almost 2 km of the track in various sections were washed away and destroyed.
