


ArmInfo. On April 9, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration and the member of the Committee Tatevik Gasparyan met with the Director of Renovabis Foundation of the Catholic Church of Germany Thomas Schwartz, employees and German journalists.
Welcoming the guests to the parliament, the NA deputies highlighted the programmes being implemented in Armenia with the support of the Foundation. Arman Yeghoyan presented the spheres of activities of the Committee he heads and spoke about the aspirations of the Armenian side to join the European family.
The meeting was held in a Q&A session. The German journalists were interested in regional developments, the expansion of the Armenia-EU cooperation, and the processes taking place in Armenia on the eve of the parliamentary elections.
At the guests' request, Arman Yeghoyan also spoke about the topics related to ensuring the right to religious freedom in our country, and the rights of national and religious minorities. The MP informed that in our country the rights of the latter are protected, and the Constitution guarantees the mandatory representation of national minorities in parliament.
