ArmInfo. One of the most important educational initiatives being implemented by Russian-Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan is the establishment of modern centers of excellence at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia: in 2017, through joint projects with the French company Schneider Electric, and in 2018, through joint projects with Cascade Holding, as noted in a statement issued by the "Strong Armenia" party.
In this regard, it is emphasized that these platforms provide young scientists and students with the opportunity to become familiar with the most modern technologies in the energy and automation sectors.
The centers are equipped with a high-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution laboratory, which includes modern automation equipment ranging in cost from $1,000 to $35,000. "This is an example of creating a direct link between education and real production. Another important component of the program is the scholarship system. Samvel Karapetyan and the Karapetyan family provide students with excellent academic performance with a monthly stipend of up to 250,000 drams (approximately $670).
The goal of these investments is to create a community of a new generation of professionals, many of whom are already working in Armenia's energy system and contributing to the country's energy security," the political party's statement reads.
