ArmInfo. At an extraordinary session on April 7, the Armenian Parliament adopted amendments to the Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia. These amendments prohibit the use of personal names, as well as the names of government agencies, local government bodies, and similar designations by parties and electoral blocs.
This bill, developed by members of parliament from the ruling "Civil Contract" party, aims to prevent political forces from being identified with the state.
During the session, the Parliament also adopted the bill "On Audiovisual Media." Under the proposed law, audiovisual media operating in Armenia would be required to indicate when content is created or modified using artificial intelligence. Failure to comply with this requirement would result in a fine of 300,000 drams. Compliance with the law would be monitored by the inspection body of the Commission on Television and Radio.
