Indian FM thanks Armenia for facilitating evacuation of Indian  fishermen from Iran

ArmInfo.  Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar thanked Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and the Armenian government for facilitating the evacuation  of Indian fishermen from Iran through Armenia to their homeland.  "Thank you to Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and the Armenian  government for facilitating the evacuation of Indian fishermen from  Iran through Armenia to India," the Indian Foreign Minister wrote on  his X page (formerly Twitter - ed.).

As a reminder, on the morning of February 28, the US and Israel  attacked Iran. In response, Iran launched strikes against US bases in  the Middle East. As a result of American-Israeli aggression, Iran's  Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking Iranian military  officials were killed. On March 8, the Iranian Assembly of Experts  elected Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late  Ayatollah Ali Seyyed Khamenei, as the new Supreme Leader of the  Islamic Republic of Iran.
