ArmInfo. Members of the constitutional movement NZHAR (Scale ) are protesting outside the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.
Nina Karapetyants, one of the movement's founders, human rights activist and candidate for Prime Minister, told journalists that the election campaign hasn't even begun yet, but is already taking place under unequal conditions. Specifically, she pointed to Public Television, which, before the start of the election campaign, is failing to comply with state laws. "Public Television has never fulfilled its function; it has always been used for political purposes. However, never before has Public Television provided such coverage of anti-Armenian projects. Never before have there been such violations of freedom of conscience and the rights of a religious organization. We consider this a very serious issue. The Prosecutor General's Office must assess all of this. Legal proceedings must be initiated. The country cannot be allowed to be at the disposal of a small group of people," she noted.
Nina Karapetyants emphasized that Public Television is neglecting to cover significant religious holidays while giving airtime to unconstitutional laws. Members of the constitutional movement (NJAR) have filed their complaints with the RA Prosecutor General's Office.
