ArmInfo. In Armenia, only slightly over 1,000 pensioners are still not receiving their pensions in a cashless form, as announced by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan at a government meeting on April 2.
He noted that all pensioners have already begun receiving their pensions cashless since April 1. At the beginning of 2026, around 48,000 retirees were still receiving their pensions in cash. As of April 1, that number has dropped to just over 1,000 individuals. Cards have been issued for several hundred of them, but have not yet been delivered, and several hundred more could not be reached. Torosyan also mentioned that pensions have increased by 10,000 drams as of April 1, exceeding the minimum food basket, including cashback on non-cash purchases.
Recall, the minimum pension in Armenia increased from 36,000 to 46,000 drams as of April 1, and to 55,000 drams with cashback. The minimum food basket, however, is 42,600 drams per month.
