ArmInfo.Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his support in establishing peace between Yerevan and Baku.
During the meeting in the Kremlin, Pashinyan said: "Peace has already been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Armenia and Azerbaijan have recognized each other's territorial integrity, political independence, and sovereignty based on the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration, which means we mutually recognized that independent Armenia is 100% identical to Soviet Armenia, and independent Azerbaijan is 100% identical to Soviet Azerbaijan. I believe this is a very strong foundation for the further development of peace. I, of course, want to thank you once again for the support I have always felt throughout the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan."
In turn, the Russian leader praised the stabilization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. "Incidentally, today, thanks to your efforts and those of the President of Azerbaijan, I believe we have now managed to stabilize relations, and the US President has also played an active role in this," the Russian leader noted.
