ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee (IC) of Armenia is requesting the arrest of David Minasyan, one of the twin brothers, who was detained following the incident involving Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at St. Anna Church in Yerevan. The second brother, Mikael Minasyan, was released on bail, as was the third person detained in the case, public figure Gevorg Gevorgyan.
"I'm fine, I was treated properly. Please don't ask any more questions," Mikael Minasyan told reporters.
As lawyer Varduhi Elbakyan clarified, despite Mikael's release, he remains a formal defendant in the case. The investigation into Mikael Minasyan has been completed. However, David Minasyan still has to testify. Gevorg Gevorgyan has been released on the condition of a 5 million AMD bail, which must be paid within three days.
It is worth noting that the Investigative Committee has launched a case under the Criminal Code article "interference in the lawful official or political activity of an official," despite the fact that Prime Minister Pashinyan has repeatedly stated that he attends Sunday liturgies solely as an ordinary parishioner of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
