ArmInfo. Samvel Karapetyan's "Strong Armenia" Party will run in the parliamentary elections this June as part of a bloc. This was announced by Narek Karapetyan, a member of the "Strong Armenia" party's political council.
"Our society expects public consolidation, and we have decided to go into the elections as a bloc and with the newly formed forces. Armenia needs new leadership, and we will elect Samvel Karapetyan. He will lead Armenia out of poverty and ensure guaranteed peace," Karapetyan said in an interview with Armenia TV.
He also expressed his conviction that the Armenian people must make a choice: either the current Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, or Samvel Karapetyan. Touching on the regional situation,
Karapetyan noted that the Armenian government is promising peace without a guarantor. "To avoid clashes on the border, so that we can build a long-term peace, Armenia needs a guarantor, and not just one. This government has already given Azerbaijan what it wanted. We need a lasting peace where we won't open the door to foreign elements," he said.
