ArmInfo. The Independent Observer mission has received several credible reports that opposition forces are having trouble renting office space in various regions of Armenia and Yerevan in the lead-up to the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7, 2026. Daniel Ioannisyan, head of the Union of Informed Citizens public organization, reported this on his Facebook page.
He explained that, according to available information, in some regions, local government and territorial administration leaders are "collaborating" with commercial property owners. "And in some communities, people associated with the ruling Civil Contract party are simply paying the owners of these properties not to rent them to the opposition. In other cases, property owners are simply afraid to rent to opposition parties to avoid real or potential pressure," Ioannisyan said. In this regard, he called on the Armenian authorities to refrain from measures restricting the activities of competing forces, emphasizing that such actions could negatively impact the principle of ensuring equal conditions of competition in elections.
