ArmInfo. Armenia will have a stronger defense and diplomacy, which will guarantee peace in deeds, not just words, as stated by Samvel Karapetyan, well-known businessman and leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, on his Facebook page. He emphasized that Armenia needs unity and hope now more than ever.
"It is sad that the person temporarily at the helm of the country is sowing fear and discord to remain in power. He will be defeated in June because the people are tired of discord and fear. I promise you that as Prime Minister, I will unite the country and make it strong-with a strong economy and sustainable peace," Karapetyan noted. According to the party leader, if elected, he will prevent any future wars, establish low taxes for businesses, create new jobs, and improve people's quality of life.
According to Karapetyan, the current Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, is dividing the nation and waging a war of words against his own people. "If they are fueling conflict within the country, why should anyone trust them to ensure Armenia's security? Today, Armenia enjoys temporary peace. This peace is fragile due to weak, insufficient guarantees, weak borders, and weak defense. As the new prime minister, I will ensure a stable and lasting peace," the party leader emphasized.
Speaking about how this will be achieved, he noted that this peace will be based on strong diplomacy, the presence of multiple security guarantors, a strong defense with secure borders and 10,000 drones, protected airspace, and a modernized, professional, and rearmed army. "A strong peace will also be based on a robust economy, with new factories, 300,000 new jobs, and new opportunities for business and agriculture. In today's world, a strong economy strengthens diplomacy and defense. The outgoing leadership of the country is trying to convince you that this is impossible, and that the only path to peace is weakness and submission to the demands of our adversaries. They are trying to convince us that if we abandon our Armenian symbols and our legitimate interests, we will achieve peace. This is a big lie," Karapetyan noted.
