The 10th Francophonie Games logo presentation ceremony  kicks held in  Yerevan

ArmInfo. The official logo presentation ceremony for the Francophonie Games scheduled to take  place in Armenia from July 23 to August 1, 2027, was held in Yerevan.

A the Armenian government press service told ArmInfo, the logo draws  inspiration from the traditional Armenian eternity sign (Arevakhach -  ed.) symbolizing continuity and permanence, as well as the circular  movements of the Armenian dance Kochari, representing unity and  strength. Following the logo presentation, a press conference  dedicated to the Francophonie Games was held.

During the conference, Vivien Lubzanski, Director of the  International Committee of the Games of Francophonie, praised the  significant contribution of the Armenian authorities to the  preparation of the 10th Games. "Today's presentation of the official  logo of the Games is an important milestone. It marks a new stage in  preparations aimed at strengthening, increasing the visibility and  recognition of the Games throughout the French-speaking region. Many  states and governments have confirmed their intention to participate,  demonstrating confidence in Armenia's ability to host this important  event," Lubzanski noted.

He added that the unveiled logo will play a key role in uniting  efforts and increasing the visibility of the Games  in Armenia and  throughout the French-speaking region. "I want to assure you of our  support for Armenia and our readiness to contribute to the success of  these 10th Games of Francophonie, which will fully meet the  expectations of French-speaking youth, as well as participating  states and governments," the Director of the International Committee  of the Games of Francophonie noted. 

In her address, Zhanna Andreasyan, the Minister of Education,  Science, Culture, and Sports (MESCS), presented details of the  preparatory work and noted that the Games will be held in 10 cultural  and 10 sports categories in Yerevan, Abovyan, Charentsavan, and  Armavir.

In turn, Arayik Harutyunyan, the Chief of Staff to the Prime  Minister,  reported that Armenia has already started preparations to  host the 2027 Games at a high level. He also announced that the  Francophonie Games, which will be held in Yerevan, will be  celebrating their 10th anniversary. "It's noteworthy that for the  first time in the history of these Games, they will be held in a  country where French is not an official language, which once again  underscores the open and inclusive nature of the Francophonie. I  would like to emphasize another feature: the official opening  ceremony of the Francophonie Games in Yerevan will not take place in  a stadium, as before, but in an open space, in the very center of  Yerevan, at Republic Square, which, we are confident, will breathe  new life and special meaning into this grand event. All of Yerevan  will participate in this opening ceremony," the Prime Minister's  Chief of Staff concluded.
