ArmInfo. Members of the "Strong Armenia" party, led by Narek Karapetyan, a member of the party's Council, paid a working visit to the towns of Sisian and Goris in the Syunik region, where they presented their vision for a strong Armenia.
In Sisian, Narek Karapetyan, a member of the party's Council, presented Strong Armenia's economic and security program, "Strong Peace," to residents, and explained the reasons for Samvel Karapetyan's entry into politics. "Having no other choice, Karapetyan decided to try to change life in Armenia. Today, there is no one in the country with economic experience, who has worked with tens of thousands of people, who knows how to overcome poverty," the party Council member noted. In this regard, he recalled that Strong Armenia Party Chairman Samvel Karapetyan has gained experience working in various countries around the world, while channeling this potential into Armenia's development. "And he has no other intention than to develop Armenia, because, being financially secure, he will be the only leader in the country who will not need anything after coming to power," Karapetyan noted.
In Sisian, party members also discussed political and social issues, as well as the challenges of balanced community development, with residents.
During a meeting with Goris residents, party members also presented the party's programs, answered questions from participants, and exchanged views on other challenges facing Armenia today. In a conversation with Goris residents, Karapetyan noted that under the current government, the country has faced the loss of Artsakh, while no significant changes have occurred within Armenia, including the problem of poverty. "Over the past 30 years, Armenia has had various leaders, and under each of them, Samvel Karapetyan was ready to help his homeland. However, under the current government, no changes have occurred in the country, and the quality of life remains low," Karapetyan emphasized.
He also recalled that the Armenian Prime Minister had previously stated that he was "abandoning the agenda of restoring historical justice." According to him, this means that the Armenian Prime Minister does not intend to demand recognition of the Armenian Genocide at the state level.
In this regard, Karapetyan stated that two worlds can exist in Armenia: a weak one and a strong one. "A weak world is one in which the Armenian authorities open the country's doors to representatives of the enemy. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has already gotten everything he wanted. This is a manifestation of a weak world. A strong world is the world we intend to achieve, in which all negotiations with our neighbors are conducted on an equal footing," the party council member stated. According to him, while Armenia is treading water, positive changes are being observed in other countries. For example, in Georgia, the poverty rate has been halved. "Furthermore, Armenians abroad live better than anyone else because they have the opportunity to realize their potential. However, this is not happening in Armenia due to the lack of a leader with, for example, a strong economic background. Our proposal to the Armenian people is this: you've already seen different approaches; now accept a person who needs nothing, a person who already has everything," Karapetyan concluded.
As a reminder, on February 12, at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, businessman Samvel Karapetyan, chairman of the Strong Armenia party, was unanimously elected as the prime ministerial candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7.
