ArmInfo. To what extent must the situation of the ruling political force in Armenia be critical to resort to such a pathetic method as blackmail with threats of war? This was stated by Kristine Vardanyan, a member of the National Assembly from the opposition "Armenia" faction, at a briefing in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on March 27.
She also drew attention to the frequent threats of "numerous cases" of hybrid warfare, as stated by the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Republic of Armenia. "In this case, I have a question: if so many cases have been identified, then why are you embarrassed to name the country that is making these threats? What are you afraid of?" the MP noted, addressing the country's authorities, calling the behavior of the authorities unacceptable, saying one thing in Brussels and something completely different in Moscow.
Vardanyan also emphasized that the authorities have repeatedly stated that the Armenia bloc could repeat the Gyumri scenario, when opposition forces united in the elections to elect their own mayor. But in the country's second-largest and most important city, everything was done in accordance with the law, and no one challenged the election results. Now, voices are raising the possibility that the bloc doesn't even have a chance of making it into the new parliament. "I urge you to decide whether we will overcome the electoral threshold or come to repeat the Gyumri scenario. All these inconsistencies indicate only one thing: all your statements contradict each other, be it assurances of peace," the opposition MP noted.
