ArmInfo.Relatives of deceased servicemen have filed a criminal complaint with the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
As lawyer Vahan Hovhannisyan told reporters, the complaint was filed based on the Armenian prime minister's remarks on March 25 that "they made a conscious sacrifice in 2020 (during the 44-day war - ed.), and as a result, gained statehood and independence."
According to Hovhannisyan these words are a de facto admission of guilt. The complaint alleges: high treason and crimes against humanity, claiming that leaders knowingly allowed the conflict to result in the loss of 5,000 lives and significant territories. "And, although we don't expect anything, a criminal case should be initiated based on this complaint, followed by prosecution," the lawyer noted.
Hovhannisyan added that they had previously filed two other complaints. One of them is related to an "obvious bribe" given by the Armenian prime minister during the election campaign, and the other involves the threat of war to secure votes in the parliamentary elections.
