RA Defense Minister: Cadets of Armenian military educational  institutions will be able to begin earning a second specialty in  their second year

Starting in the new academic year, cadets of Armenian military educational institutions will be able to pursue a second specialty in their second year.  Discussions on this matter are currently taking place  with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, as stated by RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan during a government hour on March 25.

According to him, the idea is for cadets to start working towards a  second specialty at Yerevan State University, the Polytechnic  University, and the Pedagogical University, within the state order.  The Ministry of Defense wants to have officers in the armed forces  specialized in psychology, engineering, construction, and other  fields. Thus, as the minister noted, the country's Armed Forces will  receive a competitive citizen who, after 20 years of military  service, will be able to find another job in the civil service
