ArmInfo. It seems that representatives of several Armenian opposition forces have received a letter of instruction from a certain center to talk about the security and disintegration of the army, as stated by the RA Defense Minister, Suren Papikyan during a government hour on March 25, in response to a question from Babken Tunyan, a deputy from the ruling "Civil Contract" faction.
According to Papikyan, the reality differs greatly from the opposition's vision. "They simply found a weak point in our behavior-our modesty and the fact that the defense sector is a closed system," the defense minister said. He noted that from 1998 to 2018, during the 20 years of Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan's presidencies, the funding volumes for the purchase of weapons and military equipment were 5.4 times lower than in 2022-2025. So, those who receive manuals and instructions, look at the numbers and tell me what you're doing. So shut your mouths and sit quietly," Suren Papikyan said, also pointing out the reform programs in the country's armed forces.
