
ArmInfo. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia has convened an international conference with the participation of member countries of the Executive Board of the World Association of Electoral Bodies (A-WEB), as well as other international organizations.
According to CEC press service, the conference served as a platform for exchanging experiences in digital innovation, institutional capacity building, and international cooperation in electoral governance. The international conference included three thematic sessions, with the first focusing on the "Administration of the Electoral System of Armenia."
"During this session, the structure, mandate, and main functions of the Central Election Commission of Armenia were outlined, along with the preparations for the parliamentary elections scheduled on June 7, 2026. In this regard, the importance of ongoing initiatives implemented within the framework of international partnership and cooperation was highlighted," the CEC noted.
The session on "Digital Transformation in Electoral Administration," discussed the experience of electoral bodies that have implemented digital tools and systems in electoral management, as well as the opportunities and challenges associated with digital transformation. "The third session titled 'Capacity Building and Institutional Cooperation' centered around the role of international cooperation in capacity- building initiatives, institutional training, and the strengthening of electoral systems," the CEC concluded.
