


ArmInfo. The 14th meeting of the Executive Board of the World Association of Electoral Bodies (A-WEB) was held in Yerevan. Representatives of electoral bodies from 12 countries participated in the Executive Board meeting.
According to the press service of the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia, during the meeting, a number of issues were discussed, including the 2025 activity report, the activity report of A-WEB regional branches, the resignation report of the Secretary General and the appointment of an acting Secretary General, and the main plan of the 7th session of the General Assembly.
The Association of Electoral Bodies (A-WEB) is the largest international organization uniting electoral bodies worldwide. It comprises 121 election management bodies from 111 countries. Since its establishment in 2013, the A-VEO has been promoting the effectiveness of free, fair, transparent, and representative elections worldwide.
The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Armenia has been a full member of the World Association of Electoral Bodies since September 23, 2024. At the organization's 6th summit, Armenia was elected a member of the World Association of Electoral Bodies' Executive Board.
