Citizens  protesting outside  Armenian parliament, demanding  circumstances of  44-day war in Artsakh be made public 

ArmInfo.A group of citizens, including the parents of those who went missing during the 44-day war of 2020, held a protest outside the Armenian parliament, demanding the publication of the report of the parliamentary  investigative commission established to investigate the circumstances of the 44-day military actions unleashed by the Azerbaijani-Turkish tandem against Artsakh on September 27, 2020. 

Gevorg Gevorgyan, chairman of the "Armenian National Front" and a  military and political figure spoke to reporters during a protest  outside the parliament building. He said that when the authorities  established the investigative commission to investigate the  circumstances of the 44-day war, they assured it would provide  clarity on the events. According to him, the Armenian authorities had  guaranteed  judicial decisions and high-profile arrests, but then  suddenly everyone went quiet, declaring that the report could not be  disclosed due to its inclusion of state secrets. 

"Then they started saying it was supposedly top secret. What do you  mean, top secret? We lost an entire second republic. Our compatriots  were forcibly deported from there, we lost thousands of lives. You  see, it's a catastrophe. Today, they've turned our statehood into a  brooch pinned to their chests. The Republic of Armenia, with all its  greatness and might, cannot be an attribute of your wardrobe; you  will sag under its weight," Gevorgyan said indignantly. At the same  time, he emphasized that that the current Armenian authorities were  responsible for everything that had happened.

Gevorgyan did not rule out the possibility that the current Armenian  authorities are not publishing the report because elections are  coming up. He also said that they intended to submit a letter of  demand to representatives of parliamentary factions, so that they  would raise the issue of the need to make the contents of this report  public at parliamentary sessions. The participants stated that their  actions would be permanent, and they would seek to ensure that their  demands on this matter were met. 

Recall, the commission investigating the circumstances of the war  unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27, 2020, was established by the  National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia in February 2022. The  commission members reviewed dozens of hours of video recordings and  classified documents, and heard testimony from dozens of invited  officials, including RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. In the second  decade of 2025, it was announced that the report was ready, but it  will not be made public because there are secret elements.
