Iranian, Azerbaijani, Turkmen FMs discuss Caspian Sea situation 

ArmInfo. The situation in the Middle East was discussed during a telephone conversation between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry,  the two foreign ministers also exchanged views on possible efforts to  end military escalation in the region. They also emphasized the  importance of ensuring security in the Caspian region.

Bayramov again emphasized the Azerbaijani side's expectations for the  completion of the investigation into the drone attacks launched from  Iran on Nakhchivan. The parties also exchanged views on bilateral  issues of mutual interest. Iranian Foreign Minister's Phone Call with  His Azerbaijani and Turkmen Counterparts Meanwhile, according to the  Iranian Foreign Ministry's press service, Araghchi discussed recent  regional developments in connection with the ongoing US and Israeli  aggressive actions against Iran and their consequences in separate  phone calls with the Azerbaijani and Turkmen Foreign Ministers Jeyhun  Bayramov and Rashid Meredov.

In these calls, Araghchi detailed the scale and consequences of the  recent US-Israeli attacks on provinces near the Caspian Sea and  warned of the security and environmental consequences of these  attacks for the Caspian Sea and adjacent territories.

Referring to the threats posed to the Caspian Sea and coastal  countries, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized the need for a  responsible stance, condemnation of these attacks, and the necessary  measures to counter their consequences.

Earlier, it was reported that the Azerbaijani-Israeli tandem launched  strikes against Iranian speedboats in the Caspian Sea.
