


ArmInfo. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia has adopted a systematic approach to the effective implementation of the action plan for visa liberalization with the European Union. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan at the fifth meeting of the Parliamentary Partnership Committee.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, issues related to the new Armenia-EU partnership agenda were discussed at the meeting. Progress achieved in visa liberalization, including work on issuing short-term visas, as well as infrastructure programs, were mentioned. Armen Ghazaryan presented the main stages of the visa liberalization process - from the beginning of the dialogue to the receipt of the Action Plan and the practical steps taken for its implementation. In particular, the Action Plan provided to the Armenian side was mentioned, with an emphasis on the established benchmarks and the legislative and institutional reforms implemented within their framework.
Reference was also made to public-private partnership programs to enhance document security, the development of comprehensive migration and border management strategies, and the digitalization of the asylum system. In the context of reforms being carried out in the law enforcement sector, Armen Ghazaryan noted that the changes being implemented are aimed not only at reorganizing the system but also at introducing modern standards of police activity.
