


ArmInfo. By decision of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Ara Fidanyan has been appointed Liaison Officer with the European Union Police Service (Europol) at the Embassy of the Netherlands. The corresponding decision was published on the Armenian government's website.
The press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) noted that the appointment of a Liaison Officer with Europol will facilitate the development of cooperation between Armenian and EU law enforcement agencies.
As a reminder, Pashinyan previously resigned from his post as Secretary General of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). Fidanyan had served as Deputy Chief of Police of Armenia since September 2020. On January 1, 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs was re-established in Armenia, incorporating the Police, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the Migration Service (transferred from the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure). On December 1, 2023, he assumed the post of Secretary General of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs.
