ArmInfo. If Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan knows when the war will resume, what kind of peace is he talking about? Kristine Vardanyan, a member of the RA National Assembly from the opposition "Armenia" faction, told journalists on March 20.
Recall, the day before Nikol Pashinyan stated: "The opposition forces support a revision of the peace, which means an inevitable war in the very near future, after the elections, no later than this fall. They are preparing a new September war with serious consequences."
According to the MP, if Pashinyan links a change of power to the potential for a return to war, then discussing an era of peace is futile. Essentially, the MP continued, this shows that there is no real peace agenda.
"The current prime minister is the first leader of Armenia to blackmail the public. Dear citizens, think for yourselves: is there a political force fighting for power that wants a war to break out on the very first day of its rule?" the opposition figure noted. Vardanyan emphasized that while the ruling party acts as if the nation's survival is tied to a single individual, the history of the Armenian people is far longer than any one administration. "Life for the Armenian people did not begin with Pashinyan, and it will not end with him."
Regarding regional events, it's not up to the current prime minister to decide what will happen in the future. This will largely depend on which force takes the helm and what projects it proposes.
