


ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to France Arman Khachatryan participated in a meeting of ambassadors from countries participating in the International Partnership for Information and Democracy, organized by the Information and Democracy Forum and the Embassy of Brazil in France.
According to the Armenian Embassy in France, the keynote speakers at the meeting were Armenian Ambassador Arman Khachatryan and Brazil's Secretary of State for Digital Development Joao Brandt, representing the countries co-chairing the Working Group on Accuracy of Information on Climate Change and Other Environmental Issues.
In his speech, Khachatryan touched on the importance of accurate information on climate change and other environmental issues, as well as the work being carried out in this direction in the lead-up to the COP17 conference, which will be held in Armenia.
He also touched on steps being taken to strengthen Armenia's resilience to disinformation and external information interference, emphasizing the importance of combating such threats to democratic processes.
At the meeting, the 2026 Action Plan of the International Partnership for Information and Democracy was presented, and opportunities for expanding cooperation between participating states in protecting the integrity of the information space, combating disinformation, and overcoming the challenges posed by new technologies were discussed.
More than three dozen embassies accredited in France participated in the event.
