Khatibzadeh added that the deployment of US ground troops in Iran would be viewed by Tehran as "careless, reckless, illegal, and contrary to all norms of international law."

Earlier, high-ranking European sources told Bloomberg that Trump had failed to explain to his G7 allies the goals of the military operation in Iran.
