The annual "Pour Wine" event, marking 105th anniversary of Operation  Nemesis,  held in Yerevan

ArmInfo. The annual "Gini Lits" (Pour Wine!) event, jointly organized by the "Iron Ladle" Committee of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) and the ARF Youth Wing, was held in Yerevan to honor the 105th anniversary of operation Nemesis.

During the flower-laying ceremony at the monument dedicated to  Operation Nemesis, participants emphasized that Soghomon Tehlirian's  act, one of the participants in the operation, was not just a shot or  personal retaliation - this action became a symbol of the salvation  of the dignity of the Armenian people. It was emphasized that on  March 15, 1921, Tehlirian shot and killed former Turkish Interior  Minister Talaat in Berlin, without leaving the scene, thereby proving  the justice of his actions.

Those gathered noted that perhaps the day will come when new  "Tehlirians" will emerge, ready to defend the dignity of the Armenian  people in the current reality and continue their work.

According to the ARF Dashnaktsutyun press service,  members of the  ARF Dashnaktsutyun youth movement in Armenia also unfurled posters  with the image of Soghomon Tehlirian on the streets of Yerevan to  honor his memory.

It is worth noting that Soghomon Tehlirian, a survivor of the  Armenian Genocide, shot and killed Talaat Pasha, the main organizer  of the massacres of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire, in Berlin on  March 15, 1921. In June 1921, a German court acquitted Tehlirian,  which became a symbol of justice and brought the world's attention to  the genocide.
